The maturity he shows and the responsibility he takes to try win us games, particularly for a young player with minimal pro league experience is incredible.
The last 20 mins on Wednesday he was unplayable - he wanted the ball at every opportunity. No hiding - grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. Like he did v Blackpool too.
This leadership and mental strength will take him as far in this game as his ability will.
Top player

His diagonal crosses late on saved a lot of time trying to get past the massed defence .
It was helped by Cardiff sitting so deep. I wonder who came up with that brilliant idea.
Morrison got it wrong, Sorba got it right

Love how his natural instinct is to run at and go past a player and his dinks over the top of players are sublime.. pace to burn once he sets off too! Never afraid to put a cross in (from either foot) and still seems to be fully fit and able 96mins in and getting the crowd going too, fantastic signing and talent!

I don't know why he didn't show us this before tbh because it was deadly against Cardiff. VLP could only cross the ball with his left foot.., if I recall correctly..

Sorba’s jig during the last few seconds was great - must have well peed off the Cardiff players

And yet the best manager we've had for 35 years picked him every week

Strange to compare Thomas to VLP
One is a left winger
The other a right wing back or right winger
VLP strength was skill, beating men and getting yards up the pitch and drawing a foul. He didn’t have a cross in him though
Thomas strength is crossing and while he’s direct he has nowhere near the repertoire of tricks VLP had. Thomas often cuts back in areas VLP would draw the foul or beat the man
Thomas for me is the better player but that’s not to say VLP wasn’t very good in his time and both are miles better than mbenza and diakhaby!

VLP was a brilliant player in my opinion. His forward play was stunted by the requirement of the team to retain possession but when he was unleashed ( eg. v Brighton) he had a burst of pace and the ability to beat a man. Under DW his work rate at tracking back was phenomenal. As Porroh says, DW picked him regularly- this was because he was perfect for the team. Thomas is getting better and better and above all else, I’m impressed with the responsibility he takes for creating chances when we go behind.

VLP had incredible talent but remains the most frustrating player I’ve ever seen at town (and that’s saying something). The stunts he was pulling at the edge of his own box in the Chelsea draw beggars belief. I don’t think he got the memo.
Sorba is one of the most exciting players we’ve signed for a long time. And a really likeable guy too.

He looked absolutely gutted to have given away the 'penalty' against West Brom. I hope he uses that energy to destroy Millwall tonight.

he must be pleased as punch he's come to Huddersfield..we're having a brilliant season, on the TV nearly every game, picked for Wales and the punters all know about him now... I like that little bit of aggression and anger he has, but he's got talent for sure. Wonder if he'll be playing for Wales against Austria next week..

Sorba Thomas, what an amazing player & rise from non-league football, to International Football, in spectacular fashion & timescale, brilliant story, let's remember signed for Town 13th January 2021 - UTT

Had a stinker tonight but all players do have off games. Very true. The way some give players stick is ridiculous. They don’t suddenly become bad players overnight. I’m sure he’ll bounce back on Saturday.

Sorbs wasn't alone last night.
Unfortunately we had a few that were off it apart from first 10 mins.
Should have had at least one goal in that spell.
We go again on Saturday! Massive game.
