On the subject I have a niece who attends the extinction rebellion demonstrations and is a massive climate goblin fan (that’s thunberg) nothing wrong with that however, the same person ordered a pen that came from China as it’s unavailable in the uk. So the carbon footprint of said pen is what? As it had to be flown over so she could have it. Laughable really. She also tells me I’m killing the plant because I like steak. Oh and before I go she loves Prince Harry who flys in a private jet between climate change conference meetings 🤣🤣🤣. This guy tells me I’m killing the planet because I eat meat and don’t turn the tap off between brushing my teeth and picking my arse yet he has 26 bathrooms in one of his LA mansions. I await my DATM enlightenment to my opinion.

I do not disagree with her view, but is she anywhere near right?. Every summer weekend, the people who leave Co2 canisters, smashed bottles, beer cans on a cycle and walk designated path, are people of her age. This isn't imagination it's a fact. Same at concerts, same at demonstrations. When she explains that I'll be an absolute convert. I have simply two things that are important to me, get rid of plastic, plant trees. The rest is rubbish, China and India etc pump out more shit than anywhere else. Greta needs to grow up, and realise that ordinary older people do far more to conserve the planet than most of her compatriots. If anyone finds that rubbish, well try looking at your local conservation groups. imagine I spent every day of an 80 year life cracking nos 24/7 and chucking every expendable item into a big stinky pile in a local park. then imagine there was 1 million of me doing that. It'd create less carbon waste than the US army does in a year. Shoving responsibility for the climate crisis onto young people as a whole is incredibly daft. Especially when we look at generational control of resources, presence in low vs high impact industries, historical use of resources, I could go on. Burying heads in the sand isn't advisable when sea levels are going up!

Not really sure what you are trying to say here. We are all hypocrites in some form or another but I applaud anyone trying to make a difference in some way however small.

Only on DATM could a thread about a creditable 0-0 draw away at Luton turn into a debate about Greta Thunberg. Give me strength.

Beyond that, China and India generating more waste is just common sense because they are the 2 largest world populations. If it isn't them making the most mess as the 2 most populous countries in the world that are also industrialising, who the fuck should it be?! Should they be stopped in their development because we've already done it and they haven't?

Thanks to the greens our bills are going up.How about we send them to these protestors, and they can pay them. Man made cc is a load of hot air, literally. It's all about tax, let's look at developing energy alternatives that we can use before running out of self sustaining options, then we're hostages of other nations.Fusion, energy, nuclear, hydrogen, nitrogen, clean coal, fracking all options, but get them done before all of us are in fuel poverty. We can be self sufficient, but the nutters want us to go back to medieval Britain, right here right now, no thanks!

One of the best individual actions you can make in terms of carbon impact is cutting out meat and fish. Another is cutting out AliExpress and Amazon orders. She's doing her best!

Unbelievable shite from some on here. You may not agree with what she is saying or even how she is saying it but the abuse towards her is pitiful, and sadly typical. I'd go as far as to say if it was my daughter some on here were talking about I'd seek then out and pull their fucking heads off, whichever country they were texting from.

Difficult underrated opponents Gritty Town away performance Weak midfield Great goalkeeping by Nichols Draw probably fair We'd have lost this game in the last 2 seasons. Excellent point! #utt

Greta offers nothing, puerile , simplistic garbage, no idea of the economic effects of her juvenile rantings, why doesn’t she rock off on her gas guzzling plane to China, India, USA, Poland etc, where the real polluters are, she’s pathetic , an opinionated dwarf followed by sheep, imo. In house today as keeping out of the pub as visiting mama mia midweek, so it’ll be a quiet footy Saturday today ! On paper this has all the hallmarks of a high scoring game HEART - Luton 3 Town 4... HEAD - Luton 3 Town 3.. could just as easily be Luton 4 Town 3... After all that, knowing my footy predictions it’ll be a 0-0 damp squib draw ! Ah well... so much for my high scoring match ! A valuable enough point though and great to be 7th after eleven matches... Just hope the international break doesn’t brake our wee bit of momentum small as as it is in last two games.... A long fortnight ahead. I quite like quest + 1 highlights show, but sometimes bemoan Town being well down the order of matches ie in exciting matches (Blackburn on Tuesday being an example) yet tonight the 0-0 damp squib is on third... Not sure how they work out the match schedule, but sometimes it can be as crazy as the championship results itself !

Agree Westie, it’ll be a long 2 weeks but gives us the chance to get some of the injured players fit again. Who knows, we might be able to watch Thomas make his Wales debut this week.

So two countries with a joint population 2.7 billion don’t produce as much waste as two countries with a joint population of 396 million?

Strange comment from Luton manager post match. Says he’s spoken to Huddersfield staff he knows and they were fearful of coming here today. Might explain our slow starts away from home. Shouldn't the town staff say nothing to other managers, other than "fuck off I'm saying nowt".. not fearful but respectfull of lutons goal scoring threat especially in first half of games

You might want to write to him and ask him how his beard oil is produced ......perhaps if he let his ginger mange grow it will cut down his carbon footprint. He could always trim it off then and use it for other purposes, maybe collage or a weave for someone with a bald head.....

Lol - well lets hope you walk to the address (carbon footprint) and all that and limit your punching (thus saving energy) and doing you bit to save the planet. Don't let it cross your mind that when said door opens he might just "pull your fucking head off" and use your skull as an empty vessel to collect his urine to sup from in the morning. (thus saving precious water) - Heaven forbid he plants his size 14 carbon footprint where the sun dont shine ! Violence is not the answer - its a waste of energy (carbon footprint). !
