Only on DATM could a thread about a creditable 0-0 draw away at Luton turn into a debate about Greta Thunberg. Give me strength. Can someone explain how we actually went from Luton away to Greta Thunberg? After scanning 2 or 3 posts there wasn't a cat in hell's chance I was going to read any more. I'm guessing it was something to do with the fact that it pissed it down pretty much all day?

How biased was that Luton commentator oh my days 🙈 Anyone who uses the phrase 'oh my days', wants shooting on the spot. Says the man who calls himself "the shefiff strikes back", 😂😂 what a weapon. Surprise surprise kenny2 likes this post, if that was me who mentioned someone getting shot. He would of banned me immediately. FACT

He's absolutely fine and enjoying a lengthy period of absence from DATM which may become permanent in the fullness of time. Firstly and most importantly, good to hear that the gentleman is fine.. Now I’ve highlighted the word lengthy as his Today’s games subject must be one of the longest ever on DATM currently at an incredible 1111... I’m relatively new to DATM (April-ish) but really like it, and use it at least once a week, maybe more, so thank-you PhilInCalifornia and all the best from The West Island in far away Bonnie Scotland !

Just had enough of all the hostility and the general bollocks that goes on here sometimes. He still reads from time to time, but does not have a desire to contribute anymore.

She's a political tool, and I use the word tool in every sense of the word. Typical misogynistic bollocks. Male sees young female with purer ideals, more intelligence & a higher profile than his and can’t accept it. Cannot understand how there can’t be a man pulling her strings. Must abuse and belittle her to feel better about his own sense of self worth. Fucking pathetic. Hardly ever visit this forum anymore so am sorry I didn’t get to respond to your childish and hysterical post earlier. I won’t waste much time trying to debate with you Little Ted, other than to say I have equal contempt for pretty much everyone attending the fake climate change event right now, male or female, young or old. Please don’t think I was picking on Greta specially, they’re all as hypocritical as each other, jetting in on their private planes, wearing masks for the cameras – that’s what I call f*cking pathetic. As for you, you can continue to virtue signal all you like care for all I care - let’s be honest, the circles we mix in are unlikely to contain the movers and shakers of this world, but the fact is the climate change frauds will cripple the economy and take us back to the Dark Ages with their eco-lunacy. And believe you me, the people that will suffer the most will be the poorest ones in society. But don’t you worry about that, you just carry on trying to appear caring and compassionate.

As a baby boomer I read Rod Liddle's article in The Sunday Times with interest - "Do I not care about the Earth they will inherit, you ask. No."
I walked to school too (until I got a motorbike) and think we should stop dredging scallops (The shell fish not the deep fried potato).
The point at Luton still looks like a good one.

Good old Rod Liddle. I hope he’s miserable after we beat his beloved Millwall. It takes a special kind of bloke to leave his wife whilst on their honeymoon to be with his pregnant mistress…and then get arrested for assaulting the latter.

These are my own thoughts. If the downright lazy, idle feckers can't be arsed keeping their rubbish in their cars till they find a bin, and you witness the absolute sheer wanton destruction and wilful littering of our road verges and hedges, what hope is there for keeping the oceans clean? Sorry to say, bit of a forlorn hope.

Anyway, we’re 5th in the league and looking like a proper club again. Nothing else really matters, does it?

Sorry to say, bit of a forlorn hope. This reminded me of an incident at a Lossiemouth game a year back. A group of teenagers (14-15 years) walked past a bin and one of them threw his rubbish down NEXT to the bin. Now the guys I stand with are mainly pensioners and one of them politely asked the lad to pick it up and put it in the bin. The lad started to give him some cheek so Derek(The pensioner) stood in front of him and ask him again to pick it up. The lad looked at us, about 10 guys youngest being 55, picked it up and put it in the bin and walked away. When he had walked a distance away and re joined his mates he turned round and was but to give us a mouthful when one of the other guys in our group made a move towards him and he took off like a F1 car. On another note. As far as I am aware there is still a fixed penalty for littering but nobody ever seems to get fined.

I can never understand how, if we disagree with one statement/action, we have to cancel anything that a person says afterwards. Liddle is often a twat, but sometimes he is absolutely Still, differing views are the spice of life...to some of us, anyway? Yup, great days, I had us down, 100%, for relegation at start of season, I can't see that happening now, although the next 7 or 8 games have a very tricky, HTAFC-esque feel about them?

Good win yesterday at least. Have a great week 👍 Ted, I accept that calling you “Little Ted” was a poor attempt at mockery and I apologise for this, but given the contents of your earlier message where you questioned not only my intelligence, but also called me a misogynist and f*cking pathetic to boot, it seems a bit rich to now play the victim card, and the least you could expect back was a mild bit of banter. Even if you believe that climate change is something we should be greatly concerned about, the measures being proposed to combat this will bring about huge changes for the worse for all society, except of course the elites who will carry on as normal. I recommend you take a look at a short novel set in the near future called The Denial by Ross Clark, it’s basically about the dystopian future we are sleepwalking towards. It really is very good - I rarely read fiction, but this was realistic and very frightening, albeit very funny at times too. And you don't need to be a climate skeptic to appreciate it either. With regard to my “conspiracy theorist bollocks”, the last time I looked, conspiracy theorists were undefeated this year! I suspect however we will have to agree to disagree on such matters. And yes, it was a good win and a relief to get back to winning ways on Saturday. Whoever was responsible for the acquisition of our new keeper and defence needs knighting, they've done an amazing job. I still can't believe Lee Nicholls was MK Don's 2nd choice keeper. However, if we’re to sustain a position where we're challenging for promotion, we need the same sort of transformation of our attack, which I hope can be achieved in January. Hope you too have a good week.

Hope you too have a good week. I’ll have a look out for the work by Ross Clark, thanks. Likewise, JG Ballard has a couple of excellent anthologies of short stories, the majority of which are set in a dystopian future brought about by climate change or similar man-made destructive events. Nice to end an interaction with a desire to educate, not belittle. Thanks and apologies for my clumsy generalisations.
