Look, I am not particularly a fan of Steve Bruce but how degrading for a Man of his pedigree Player and Manager wise to basically have to in some fashion ‘beg’ to keep his job.
You have got Staveley and her Husband turning up at the training ground this week (what the fucks it got to do with him by the way to be at the training ground?).
And on that note, Staveley should also conduct her business with Bruce with dignity for both her and Bruce and without turning up at the training ground and creating the fucking turgid circus that she knew she was creating.
Have some class Staveley, do the right think not the thing that gets the Cameras flashing and you in the spotlight that you clearly crave.
For those that think they would like this freakshow for Town. Just have a think about how this is playing out and the Personal agendas involved.

After an always generous few big drams of malt for the visitors in the reception area bar, I always found it was your folks in the clacked out Lada or rusty Fiesta that purchased our product, and gave a generous tip (though we weren’t looking for one as we were getting paid, and well paid in our salary) where as, those that came for a tour in swanky BMW’s and Merc’s offered nothing and rarely bought a bottle even though they could well afford it ! |

It's pretty obvious she has no class at all, well not in the way you're talking about anyway. Some 'interesting' business deals and Middle Eastern connections have netted her some wealth and a husband. She's then fronted a number of deals to buy a number of PL clubs, Newcastle being the one that's succeeded once some 'skeletons' from her backers were moved to other cupboards. I'd have interested to hear what my late boss would have had to say about this takeover. A season ticket holder at NUFC despite living in Calderdale. I'm sure hed be happy at a better chance of success, but less than enthusiastic about the background of the new owners. |

Your analogy is very true in my experience Westie. When I was a paper boy, I always got the majority of my Xmas tips from the council estates I delivered too. Got hardly anything from the big private houses. |

Regarding tips and what have you, I'd have to concur. I went back to doing the papers after I retired, simply because I enjoyed it. The tips always came from the likes of your Daily Mirror Readers, and the Sun, Express and Mail dare I say, some of the Telegraph readers would too, maybe one I remember who took the Times. The absolute worse though, by far and I had five houses over a number of years, were the posh socialists who took The Guardian.Never ever got a single penny!
Now if they actually believed in everybody sharing out their wealth, surely that should start on bloody tipping the paperlad? I can quite understand the postman and binman, if you don't want to tip, they do get a decent wage. The paperlad gets a paperlads wage, whatever their bloody age.
I did get some very decent tips though. Only one person tipped less than a fiver, still appreciated, and numerous as high as £20 these days. Always made around £250 every year, but always the same people too. Not that many out of a round of about 80 papers, ( I did all the shops papers for them) but every one welcome.

I think the, meant to be, just of my comment was The Popular Terrace and the song lyric line - ‘clowns to the left of me’ (ie the chestwankers in the open end) ‘jokers to the right’ (the jovial Town fans in The Cowshed) Was at an old friend that lost her stepdad - ma former manager - ( a good life and a good innings 91 thankfully) - it was booze flowing there, lock-in at the pub till 3am and booze flowing there as well... But jeez oh... how I need to not try writing on the iPad to DATM in that state !!! |
