Thanks heavens for Big Phil!
Imagine that murderous, misogynistic bunch of bastards owning the club you love.
The fans hate Ashley but he probably ran the only profitable in the PL. In fact, he made Newcastle all the more attractive because the new rabble can immediately lose £190m and still be within FFP limits.
To think, Doug Ellis used to be known as ‘Deadly’ for sacking a few managers. He had nothing on the Saudis and Abu Dabis who are now in the business.

They'll soon be slicing apart Premier League defences as if they were journalists.

Let's not pretend that most Town fans would turn a blind eye and ignore their moral compass if it meant world class players and Prem stability every season. I'd let Fred West build me a patio of it saved me a few quid.

I'd let Fred West build me a patio of it saved me a few quid. When he was still living at home, the parents of one of my former work colleagues had their conservatory built by Fred West. Apparently, Mr West gave my work colleague's sister a lift somewhere as well. She got out unscathed but just imagine as a parent how cold your blood would run once you found out what he'd done.

Well, they'll be upgrading a team of Donkeys for a herd of Camels.
Steve Bruce will have the hump when he gets the chop.

Be tempting for somebody that. Mike Ashley does love to purchase businesses in the shite. It would have to be a separate deal to acquire Pride Park though... No longer an asset of Derby County. Wonder what Mel Morris values it at now the crook?!

Imagine been owned by a rotten to the core organisation with a murderous intent to take over the world.
Anyway, enough of Mike Ashley, what are these Saudis like?

I would be delighted if some Saudis bought Town, then got in a huge name Manager, then bought anybody and everybody and then got promoted to the Premier League and started to win things.
Basically if Town bought, that’s it bought with the stench of money, success. Not earned it, bought it. Who he hell would actually view this as success?.
Like fuck I would. I would hate it and never darken Town’s door again.
Them numbskulls up there seem to like it.
What has become of football eh?. Really, what has become of any sport where money buying success is viewed as success?.

I suppose the Newcastle fans are just desperate for change and are willing to gamble on any owner in the hope of a bit of success, tbf its a massive club with brilliant support, and long over due some silverware, can't really blame the fans for been happy about it

I’m willing to pay Messi £5 million a week to play for Town for 3 years, Messi has agreed. Would you want to see this or not?

When lots of clubs around Europe are doing the same i would condsider it success if you won say the CL because it would mean you had the best team, all the big hitters around Europe spend millions trying to win the big prizes, and generally its always been the same even years ago but on a smaller scale, clubs still spent what was considered huge amounts at the time.

Newcastle fans would only be happier if the Sheikh invited Ashley to an Embassy for a friendly chat and a bit of casual decapitation.

I don’t see Man City as Man City anymore. What are they really? A trophy machine in a stadium devoid of passion and atmosphere chasing the dream on conquering Europe against other mega rich franchises. I do get the uplift and regeneration of the area around Eastfields but this shopping for trophies turns me off football.

They may well be a trophy machine but are still to win the CL, similar to PSG the CL is their holy grail and so far its eluded them both.

The Saudi Arabian Government have promised not to get involved in the running of the club, they have promised to outlaw piracy of football streams to allow the takeover to go through. No doubt they will change their mind once the paperwork is completed. But hey ho that's what trustworthy is al about!

Let’s see how happy the locals are when Karl Darlow drops a clanger and turns up for training with stumps where his hands used to be.

I was having this debate on Saturday with two City supporters who were slagging off United when they were on TV against Everton. IMHO they are worse than United ever were but they just couldn't see it. When I said Maine Road was a proper ground (Sh*8te admittedly) but the Etihad just an entertainment hub they tried to argue we were among the first to go down that road by moving grounds!! FFS .... later turned out I've been to Etihad three more times than one of them.... On subject, Newcastle best away day in the league IMHO. I don't mind (that much) their fans getting success.

I do get the uplift and regeneration of the area around Eastfields but this shopping for trophies turns me off football. Aye... couldn’t agree more. The footy here in Scotland was so good and competitive when I was in secondary school, various teams all having a good chance of being champions, then an individual called David Murray took over Rangers and threw (ultimately taxpayers money) at them to wipe the floor with everyone else and eventually Celtic caught up and now we have the laughing stock of Europe two team league, and it’ll be 37 seasons since anyone (Aberdeen) last won the league up here.. This egotistical individual destroyed Scottish football and I don’t think it’ll ever recover, unless the bid two in Glasgow clear off to some sort of Atlantic league type set up. Ironically while he was revered by Gers fans for a while, his company collapsed and Rangers owed millions in three figure sums to HMRC, failed to pay it and The Excise liquidated them... He is now truly detested by their fans and fans of every other club in Scotland for what he did. Give me Dumbarton FC and Clachnacuddin any day !!! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted
