Fuck me lets get Boothy back as well - how about Jeppo - Steve Kindon as an impact player anyone ? Better than any striker we've currently got at the club, scored more goals last season than all our strikers combined. Boothy, Jeppo & Kindon have all been long retired, Nakhi is still playing championship football so shit examples. No shit sherlock - you ever heard of irony ? - and I don't meant Kenny !

Just been watching Swansea v Cardiff. If I could bring anyone back I'd choose Jamie Paterson. I'm still angry we let him slip through our fingers when we had him on loan.

Are they playing at a higher level than JP?

If he'd had stayed we might not have got promoted 🤷♂️

Wagner wanted his squad together for pre-season, at the time Forest were in the middle of a takeover so their was nobody to discuss a potential deal with so we moved on. It worked out pretty well in the end tbf.
Glad to see Paterson doing well again after going abit stale at Bristol city.

Jesus, go and look at his stats. Izzy and Kasey did more in about 15 games each for us than JP has done in his entire career

If we were to bring back any of Palmer, Brown or Paterson now, I'd bring back Paterson.
If we're asking who had the greatest impact whilst here, Paterson would be bottom of that list of 3.

Sorry porro. Should say ‘don’t look at his stats’. Izzy and Kasey both has huge impacts on our club. JP has been a bit player all his career imho obvs

He was and still is a very good player and wouldn't have cost the earth for us to sign him.

I take issue with your comments about Izzy and Casey though. Both picked up injuries at critical times and JP would have provided vital cover. Ok it all turned out well in the end but who's to say we couldn't have done even better? Plus we might have been left with a player who would still be doing a job for us right now, with both Palmer and Brown long gone.

Interviewer after the game asked Paterson if he'd bury the hatchet as a result, his response was 'no I still don't like him'

Going off the topic of this thread again, sorry, but the current team could do with a peak Clayton style player.

I suppose so but that ended less well (money aside) when he left. Before he left, everything went through Clayton so the fact that he was fucked might have had more to do with the relative lack of quality in the team around him. You only have to look at the first game without him when he was sold at the last minute. Robins was obviously making some points about that but the 0-4 spanking by Bournemouth showed there was no plan B without him in the team. I do remember that Clayton always used to suck on some energy pouch when they lined up for kick off but they obviously don’t work cos Powell used to throw them on for Ishy Miller when he’d managed 5 minutes!

Ha. Nick had a pop at me on Facebook the other day after he got his panties in a bunch because Football Focus on Saturday focused on women's football. I'm such a bastard. Just seen a piece on FB from Chicken about what the team may be for Saturday and whether CC'll rotate the internationals. Nicks posted that he hopes Hogg doesn't play and also liked a post from someone hoping we get rid of Scott High 🤨 Thank God I dont do Facebook
