Most confident I feel in a keeper since Super Stevie Francis.
Loved Nico but was sometimes a bit erratic, whereas SF was solid, dependable and unspectacular!

Steve Francis was excellent for not a tall chap, Steve Harper on loan from Newcy was probably as good as I'd seen, but all in fairness Nicholls who apparently is 6ft 4" has been the stand out performer this season and considering his time at MK Dons as No2 and Wigan Pie Munchers before full credit to whatever he's doing to improve his game week in week out on the training ground, perhaps some of his know how will rub off on Shaggy for whenever he's rolled out again.

Our goalie is Nicholls. He wears the number 1. When teams try to score. He stops them just for fun. My old man's a Dustbin. #21

I'm stopping short of calling him our best keeper ever as it's less than a season he's been there, but he's up there already. I struggle to think of another individually strong season from a keeper even close to this- maybe Lossl 2017-18?

Feel sorry for schofield as the criticism he gets is disproportionate
He was a 20 year old thrown in at the deep end. The club was a mess with a fragile mentality and a dressing room full of mercenaries. Awful time to come in as a kid
Initially he did great - watch the Watford at home game last season for example. Then the club moved on hamer and left him exposed as he desperately needed time out as he went through his first career dip in performance and his confidence went by the game
Now when he plays there are fans who have made there minds up - heโs never good enough for them and they jump on any small point to look to affirm there already decided view
Very harsh on a local kid who has shown talent but lacks consistently like most young players.
Scott High also now seems to be getting similar treatment from some fans

That's not to slate him, it's just that I don't forsee him developing enough to become consistently good enough to play at this level. High, on the other hand already has all the tools to play at this level, he just requires a bit more experience.

Thats not being harsh, he is nowhere near ready to play regular Championship football unfortunately. Hopefully heโll be learning from Nichols and will improve his decision making and command of his area.

Give this man a pay-rise! I believe he only signed a two year deal but thank god we have an option for another year.
Watching pre-match highlights of the Fulham home game shows how far we've come and want a competent keeper can do for the squad. We'd be a completely different team without him. Yes, the back 4/5 have been immense but he's made all the difference.
Nicholls has the height of Nico, dependability of Franny and agility of Stevie Harper. And I tip my cap at the cheek, at the elegance, at the class of his shithousery. He's another level. Throwing it behind the goal before corners is a work of genius.
To top it off, he celebrates every great save or defensive block like a goal. It's clear to see that Nicholls takes pride in keeping a clean sheet, and he almost had another today. Pure class! What a find!

The complete antithesis of the shit PL wage stealers we've taken so long to get rid of! Absolutely! Once the stench of Mbenza, Diakhaby, Kongolo, Pritchard and any of the other mercenaries had left the building, the spirit returned on the pitch and on the terraces.
