It is beyond ridiculous how good the signing of Lee Nichols was. Theeee best keeper I’ve seen since 1977. Trouble is that it won't be just us who have noticed how good he is, expect plenty of interest from other clubs during the summer.

Repeat

I loved Alan starling but he was a fourth division keeper at the end of his career. Yes he was entertaining but not in the best bracket. Unless you meant dick Taylor or Terry pooles last hurrah.

I don’t worry about that type of thing. Worry when you’re shite and can’t give your players away ( not too long a distant memory) that’s a worry

Would have been the icing on the cake if he had gone for goal when the Fulham keeper came up for a corner and he had the ball in his hands

Hope he gets a great ovation on Wednesday night. Has he got his own song? Deserves one if not, fast becoming a Town ledge.

Not one previous Town keeper has been as influential to the team as Nicholls in my opinion.
The full package - shot stopping, distribution, organiser, motivator and best of all, Commander in Chief of Skullduggery.

How many times over the years have shouted and bawled at the opposition for this type of thing. Absolutely brilliant shithouseary.

Even I, a deluded optimist, wondered what the heck we were doing signing a bench-warmer from MK Dons.
(No "with respect to MK Dons" here - they're a joke of a club that has no right to exist - absolute scandal, that was)
Rarely been so happy to be proved so very wrong.

I assume "your research" means you expected him to be every bit as good as he's been, Captain Hindsight?

Has anyone been on an MK Dons forum to see what they currently think? One that got away? Assuming we signed him cheaply?

Superb on crosses. Shot stopper extraordinaire. Excellent distribution with hands and feet. Has immense stature. Instills calm and confidence into the back four. Also would easily qualify as Professor of Shithousery at Cambridge University. I love him to pieces.

But he’d played almost every game for three years upto refusing to sign a new contract and was highly rated . He was then benched It’s like he was on the bench cos he was shit ffs

What a signing.

What a signing. Agree. But the club and player were basically abused cos he was a sub GK for the last 12 months When a bit of research would tell you the real situation. Still a magnificent signing whatever went on before

Respectfully, there's no need to be an arse about it. Enjoy today's magnificent victory, I'm out.

Same, appreciate he was trying to waste a few seconds but knocking it the length of the pitch where there was nobody waiting would've wasted just as much time. No way I'm not having a punt if that's me 😂

By far and away the best 'keeper outside the PL, and even then probably better than some in it.

If we could have lost Pritchard, Kongolo & Diabenza to bigger clubs for stacks of cash I would have preferred that!

Lordy, take a day off to enjoy the win, rather than try to pick a fight on the Internet.
