1 thing I'd totally forgotten about but was brought to my attention is that this season and next, each Championship team has to be shown at least 3 times at home, not 2 as previous seasons.
So we have at least 1 home game more that needs picking. Any of our remaining home games are realistic possibilities given our opponents and their position, our current position, and additionally in the case of Norwich (as well as both teams positions), if they want to go for the 'Wagner back to Huddersfield for the first time' angle

I had somehow trained ma brain that this was the weekend that Town were playing Sheffield United ! Just as well I just haven’t quite got round to booking non refundable accommodation then... As the thread subject is “Sky Games” - Does anyone know when the final confirmation for the final run of games will be confirmed so that I can find out officially when the final decision and therefore final date is for the home clash with The Blades (Blunts) !

From now it's basically week to week, so end of this week we'll know about the Middlesbrough game, by March 10th we'll know about the games over Easter etc. Sheff Utd we'll know about by 24th March (HOWEVER note that if they reach the FA Cup semi finals then the game will move from 22nd April)

It shows (efl) Blackburn & Sheff Utd re-arranged games from Quarter final date are now to be played 25 April, which would mean who ever wins the tie will have to play Semi final date match a week later on May 2/3/4........Would see Town finishing with two home games if the Blades succeed. (Hopefully already promoted & Reading with Speedo's packed)

I could probably make a midweek game on the 3rd May - Definitely not able to make the last game on Monday 8th - a bloody nuisance it’s not on the Saturday - bloody sky again ! ☹️ Just not quite the same without the long weekend in Huddersfield but if it’s not to be then I’d like to have two matches like last year v Luton on the Monday and QPR on the Friday - oh and a midweek match for HTAFC Women v Burnley which was excellent... This weekend would’ve been good v Coventry and staying on till Bristol City on Tuesday - but too late now - I guess - If your no fast, your last ! - And - If you snooze, then you lose !!! 😴

Re the last game of the season, that's nothing to do with Sky, and all to do with the coronation on the Saturday (same reason why all Championship/L1/L2 games have been shifted to the Sunday or the Monday).

Ah right stevvy - I didn’t even know when that was on, I was thinking he’s The King already ! I’m not into Royalty or any dignitaries of any country, and while I wish them no harm and to enjoy their lives - if their cavalcade was going by ma Road end in the morning, I wouldn’t be giving up my long lie to watch it ! My old Auntie Kate likes them and knows who they are all and how many kids they’ve got etc, and fair play to those who follow and enjoy them, but it’s just not for me as I’m just a working class, easy going, Rab ‘C’ type lad that enjoys life with what I’ve got - But I’d always put Town ahead of them any day of the year - However if I write to The King to ask him to put off his ceromeny that Saturday so that I can attend two Huddersfield Town matches in three days - I expect he’d reply with a polite Go Forth and Multiply !

His favourite whisky is Laphroaig from Islay and he has some sort of motif - “Three Feathers” whatever that is - And has donated them to every tin and labelled bottle of Laphroaig that is available... Maybe I could try a little bribery over a bottle of that overton ! 😊

Sky games for 18th-24th April released today (Sunderland away not picked), on the 22nd at 5-30pm kick off its locals PNE v Blackburn, then on Sunday at midday the Mackems are at WBA & then the poor Boro fans are at Luton on Monday night (24th). The last changes to dates/ko is for the w/e 29th April & are announced before next Friday (what difference does it makes during international break?).........Cardiff away looks a certainty to be moved (high noon?).

Any idea it irverino what they’ll do with our match v Sheffield United on Wed 3rd May (as it stands)... I was gonna book two nights accommodation in Huddersfield today at very reasonable prices and one in Glasgow on the way home and the buses but I was travelling back today from the family in Connel so will leave it till tomorrow now. That Blades clash is sandwiched in between our away match at Cardiff and our final game v Reading nine days later so they’ve plenty scope to move it - I lost out on a night that was non refundable in November in Huddersfield and one in Glasgow so as to make ma old Uncle’s funeral service but that was just unfortunate timing of his service, but I’d be bloody annoyed if say Sky moved that to the Thursday if we still had a chance of survival which I hope to goodness we actually do !

Sky have a PL game on Monday 1st May (Leicester v Everton), this should make it unlikely they move a Championship game to Monday night, so the Blades date should stay the same even if we play Cardiff on the Sunday.......I don't understand why they couldn't release the fixture changes this week with no change to the League table until next weekend.

Ony putting this here as don’t want to start a new thread. I see the Rotherham v Cardiff game is classed as ‘suspended’ and despite only one date being available to complete the fixture nothing has been agreed. I assume the EFL are dragging their feet (as in the Reading points deduction) hope future results will make the problem will go away. For example if Rotherham win their next 3 games and Cardiff loose there’s then the result will probably stand.

I think its definitely going to be replayed, the final set of fixtures to be moved for Sky is now 7th April (EFL) for matches on the 29th April, Thurs 27th April when BT have 3 PL games scheduled could be lined up by Sky for the rematch........could explain the Blades switch, which looks 100% set now & you would hope had Sky tv approval?

Rotherham v Cardiff will be replayed in full on a date TBC by the clubs (per EFL statement)

So on that basis Rotherham’s game on the 29th will also moved back a day as well. I guess by delaying things to last minute all this really does is create more uncertainly for fans which is what the EFL are really good at.

I just had an incling, a gut feeling that it’d be moved but I thought it might be by Sky and not as it has turned out to eventually be as in both clubs - Thankfully after liaising with irverino I held off from booking anything and The HTAFC website say that this is it being moved for the “final” time so I have to trust them this time but it’s the business end of The Championship so who knows ! I’ll either head down that day and stay Friday for a big pub night and back up Saturday to Glasgow - alternatively I may head down Wednesday for the pub night, really enjoy a big build up to the evening match, back out after it, back to Glasgow on Friday for a night out there and maybe do the final regular match of Dumbarton’s season on the Saturday at home to Stranraer ! I was due important injections on (Fri 5/5) but I’ll have to get back to The West Island for them on the Sunday then all things being well it’ll be back to Connel on Thursday 11th May for ma wee maw’s 🥂80th birthday🥂 celebration all being well... 😊 So looks like a plan finally gonna be put into action - certainly one £30 ticket will never match what sky pay Huddersfield Town but sometimes at the business end of the season it can be a nightmare working out travel from afar ! 😬
