Was at the 6-0 v Wycombe when Rhodes scored four. Was also at Barnsley on a Friday night in November 1998 when we lost 7-1and were 6-0 down at half-time. That was on Sky as well.

Anyone know when the deadline is for SKY TV picking games in April...
Outline I’m thinking of coming down to Huddersfield to watch HTAFC v Birmingham City on Saturday 27th April 2024 and therefore arrive on the Friday and take the Sunday and a bit of the Monday outta it as well -
But I obviously cannot book in advance for accomdation and travel until SKY TV makes their final deadline decisions on live games being shifted and would really appreciate updated info wherever possible ! 👍

I wonder what our overall record is for games televised by sky (How many won, drawn and lost)? My gut feel is that it would be a decent return, but I don't suppose records like this would actually be recorded anywhere so we'll probably never know. Can anyone recall our best and worst days among the sky games? Best - Chelsea away 1-1, Man City away 1-0 (Robbie Edwards), Leeds home 2-1 (Heff) Worst - can't think of too many, Barnsley home in the playoffs 1-3, Stoke away 2-3 after being 2 up. Any others? 7-1 at Barnsley wasn't great

Pretty sure they missed a penalty just after half time as well. What's worse is a win would have taken us joint 2nd, they were 17th at the time. The Barnard goal was special though.

I worked with a Leeds supporter back then (good bloke), and he kept texting me after every bloody goal. Back in the days of the old Nokia phones and those bloody beep beeps didn’t half piss me off… 😂

We managed to talk the landlord of a pub we were in to turn the rugby off and put the town match on (much to the annoyance of the locals) . Can't remember the halftime score , but we'd had enough and were ready for leaving . But the bastards made up stop till the final whistle , and they loved every minute of it.. True story.

Aye - Awaiting with bated breath irverino for the big announcement (or not as the case will hopefully be) so that I can get traditional Friday till Monday trip ! But Aye it can be a bit of a nuisance logistics wise for someone like myself as the ferries are utterly manic here with lots of new houses and new distillers being built they are truly stretched to the limits and I’ve booked a month in advance to get outta The Whisky Isle (17-April) for this trip via a Clachnacuddin FC testimonial match v Elgin City for Club Captain Martin Callum that night and the main reason - to go hunting for an expensive Huddersfield Town presentation jacket that I left there in one of the pubs when I was up for The Rothes game in November ! ☹️ I plan a week at the family home as ma sister will be 48 on 19th April and we will do a family restaurant dinner for her then a bit of ground maintenance then down to Huddersfield but I just don’t know what accommodation of bus travel bookings to do yet ! 😬 Have booked the motor and maself back on the last ferry on 30th April but that might well have to change... Oh Town - A nice boring rare mid table on the beech this time next year would be such a welcome change for guys like myself travelling to watch HTAFC from the back sticks of Bonnie Scotland - (But only if this is gonna be in The Championship of course) !!! Safe journey from Storm Kathleen to Lossiemouthtownfan and his grandkids on the way down to The Millwall game - It is horrendous weather here in The Whisky Isle, can’t see a single thing but all grey and wind and rain in ma normally stunning scenery and views and gonna get a soaking in and out with the ashes, sticks, and coal for the open fire which will be needed in this atrocious weather... I think it’ll be a gruesome 🤮 trip for those on the Cal-mac ferries today if they are on that is !

Just announced the following games moved; Fri 26th QPR v L33ds @8pm, Sat 27th Hull v Ipswich @8pm & Mon 29th PNE v Leicester......Not sure if this means they waiting to announce any more games to be selected, I would guess possibly yes with early Sat/Sun times missing.

No more games will be picked that weekend. They generally only show 2, sometimes 3. They only have 2 picks left for the final day, so no other games will be picked before the final day.
For reference, the final day games are picked once everyone has played 45 games (which is fine as the date and time doesn't change)

I’m still kinda edgy to go ahead and start booking things that are non refundable if one wants the best deals on offer - I’ll probably phone the club tomorrow for final conformation (not sure what division but there is a long directory list of numbers on the club website)... I’m not the best in the mornings and tomorrow is pub footy Saturday and booze up and I’ll be as rough as a hedgehogs arse on Sunday with the inevitable hangover from hell so it would have been handy to have gotten this outta the road tonight instead of sure... But Sky pay the money so I suppose they get the choice as in he who pays the piper calls the tunes but it’s not great for longer distance fans especially those surrounded by (currently) choppy waters !!!

As I said, they have 2 picks left for the final day, therefore no further games will move.
Had they not opted to show the rearranged Southampton v Preston, Leicester v Southampton and Coventry v Ipswich games you might have a point. But they are showing those games, so no further games will move, as they only have 2 picks left, which will be used on the final day.

I cant see Ipswich being out of the promotion picture by last game of the season. I think all three of those teams are going to keep winning. I also think our fate wont be settled by then either. I think the game will be on sky. It is a good story, winner goes or stays up and loser goes or stays down.

RIP iFollow, EFL have voted for the Sky deal so that's it. I liked being able to just occasionally opt in for the odd game for a tenner. No intention of subscribing to Sky so it will be highlights only for me unless that goes to Sky too.

It did say something about the Sky deal being for 'domestic' fixtures so maybe iFollow will carry on for those outside the UK? It wasn't very clear from the article tbh. The Sky deal is a five year thing apparently.

This is a link to the new football landscape on Sky. It looks crazy compared to what we have seen previously Matches on sky.
