It's starting to get a bit out of hand? People left on 49 minutes last Saturday, despite us being 4th in the league. In my opinion, it's because over the years there's way too much footy on TV and the whole experience of 'being there' has become hugely devalued. In my 21 or so Huddersfield Town matches I’ve attended, I’ve never been in on time for every one (the huge novelty of booze in the concourse being one very good reason) ! However I’ve NEVER left before the end and hope I never have to - certainly no matter how badly Town play (and it was abject in ma last match v Middlesbrough) and not even when HTAFC lost to lowly Burton Albion did I leave until the John Smith’s stadium was nearly empty... I do realise some folks like to beat traffic jams and all that.. but leaving on 49 minutes ? Maybe on an evening kick off game in bygone days of yore some folks might have left on Forty Nine minutes to head to the dancing at Johnny’s in Town - They could’ve been known as The San Fran-Disco 49’ers !

A bloke who rung in on the football forum said he left the ground after the 3rd goal went in, then went on to moan about the game!!.

One bloke near us (never seen him before) was obviously a tourist and had his camera out most of the game taking snapshots. It's no longer a game it's a spectacle. Something you can just walk away from if the mood takes you.

Thankfully- the other side of this is that pretty much the same people sit around me for every game .

There's a few sat directly behind us who leave anything from 5 minutes before the end to 20 minutes before the end so they can get good seats in the Peacock to watch the 5.30 kick off game. They spend large parts of the game they can be actually bothered to sit and watch on their phones following the scores for their accumulators. Each to their own I guess.

A colleague of mine has already booked his Premier Inn room for Wembley, despite not having been to a game this season.

You should be pleased that non regulars come down and help generate an atmosphere, like in the PL when home games were rocking, thanks as much to new fans as the diehards. Give it a bloody rest.

Exactly bro.. I left on 80 minutes.. Seen enough.. So what?? Perhaps we should chain people to their seats until the final whistle 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I’m not having this looking down your noses at those who only attend occasionally.. We need the part timers to fill the place up.. 🍻

Nowt to do with TV but the pubs were open and the sun was shining. Town wouldn't have scored had they played until Sunday teatime. The Kings Head and the Sportsman were calling. Never let a good session be spoilt by the Football.

Moving the Coventry away date & time will be a real bummer for a lot of Town fans who have been waiting many years to see this fixture in the flesh......November 1971 @highfield Road, were you there??

Even for hardliners it's tough to be enthusiastic when there is so little to get behind as per the Bournmuff game. When we got at Cardiff the reaction was appropriate. I suspect we might get more to get behind in the Luton and qpr games, let's hope so anyway..

I had no intention of watching town go through the motions at 0-3 down when the alternative was avoiding a 45 minute wait to get away from the stadium . If its 1-0 I'd have stayed

I agree to a point, but does it effect the players when folk leave in droves early? I expect them to keep trying right to the end, even when it is obvious we have lost it. Do they have a right to expect us to keep supporting them as well? I have noticed recently they all go to the corner where the CSL are after a game. Great after a win with the 'Wagner ' and everyone shouting back but last Saturday they went across and well over half the fans had gone. I think the players deserve better but we are all different.

They gave up at Millwall and gave up at 0-3..so if they can pack up early despite their massive wages, why not the paying public ?

How come we were still driving at their goal in the last minute? They struggled and didn't change tactics when they should have but I didn't see anyone give up.
