Just to let anyone know who doesn't have sky.... Now TV currently have an offer at £20pm (+£5 for HD boost) to stream all sports channels.

Got stunning views from the house, live in a scenic and largely crime free place, two pubs in the village, visit the old folks in the mainland once a month, love ma Lager n’ Lime and of course whisky (and whiskey) and anything 60’s 70’s (and a bit of late 50’s and early 80’s as well) and older Country & Western too in the music world - and got to plenty of concerts in Glasgow over the years... 

Oh and as they say... save the best till last - I’ve got HUDDERSFIELD ! 
Her footy club - The mighty Town - to a lesser extent her Rugby League Giants, her pubs, her munchi houses (restaurants), her musicians, (talented bands and karaoke singers), her hotels and staff, and her many fantastic pubs and their workers - and again save the best to last - her people ! 

Yip life is modest - but bloody enjoyable - I’ve enjoyed ma lot, gonna hopefully all being well, carry on enjoying it - as no one has yet come back and told me you get a second crack at it !

Isn't there just a little bit of hypocrisy here? When we were in the Premier League there were people complaining about the coverage we had and the general attitude towards Town. It's unfortunate that we have a number of games against promotion rivals in our last 7, 4 of those, and of course we have the TV infrastructure from the Premier League days so an easy set up.

It is a pain in the backside but we surely can't complain when earlier in the season we were moaning about WBA and Fulham being on every week. I would also add if it wasn't Sky it would be some other broadcasting outlet.

Irritating and inconvenient (for many) it is but you can't complain about a lack of coverage. Aren't the play off semi finals at times to suit broadcasting?

Not worth getting worked up about, let's focus on getting points starting at Hull.

Our last 3 home Championship games to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday ended in 2 defeats & 1 draw, you have to go back to 20h Nov when we beat WBA 1-0 for a victory @3pm Sat, although our last 3 'Sky' home games all ended in draws since the same date........we do seem to have dropped a few points at home, TV or not!!

Bringing more coverage on the box is a definite positive the downside though is the effect it as has financially as ruined the game . The top league used to be far more competitive it’s not anymore , money unfortunately from sky has made winning the top league a closed shop , very sad and no where near as entertaining sadly. As for kick offs changing that’s just life now a bit like the average working week not the same as the old days, but you adapt or life just stands still.

I've mentioned this before orinoco. I've had Sky Sports for 20+ years. Never paid more than £20 a month. I only ever take out a yearly contract and currently pay £15 a month after renewing in January.
I get all the football I want. I can watch the golf, occasionally watch rugby league, F1 and darts.

A cinema ticket is around £7 or more for one film. A pint of the brand of beer I choose to drink is normally around a fiver. 
People pay £20 for a Dominos Pizza, probably the same types that choose to pay £50+ for an iphone contract every month. 

If you put all that into context, £15 for Sky Sports if you enjoy sport, imo isn't bad value

Closed shop unless a billionaire invests in your club and you have a once in 100years season. As I was saying above money as ruined the competition. If you think Leicester winning the league is like it was before your mistaken. There season was a major one off 5000/1 odds at the start . Do YOU REALLY think the premier league is competitive or a closed shop that can only be won by the big six. ( bar a freak season) and I’m being kind because this year 3 clubs at a major push could of won this year. ( no 2)

£15 for sky sports that is very cheap and not the normal price. You can’t quote the other price comparisons at the top of the price chain and then compare with sky at a cheap well discounted price.
You can get a pizza for £1 from Morrisons you can go to the cinema for £5 at Halifax or free with a bank account from Lloyds , the iPhone for miles less than quoted . Sky sports is around £27 a month and that’s not including the other channels you need to take the contract at the start.
Numbers can easily be manipulated to suit an agenda.
Personally it’s not the coverage that I dislike it’s the lack of competition I at the top end of sport which is now disappointing and that’s due to money.
Ie premier league and F1 the prime examples

Thats fair enough brighouse. 
I have a choice in that a pay £45 (£30 for other channels and the option to be able to record what I like, pause live TV etc.) for Sky in total. £15 of which is Sky Sports. I barter with them every year in order to get what I feel is the best choice for me and what I believe to be pretty decent value. 
But I'm not manipulating numbers. I gave prices that people choose to pay for what I would class as a luxury outgoing on a monthly basis - its a choice, not a necessity. 
I agree that it has taken away some of the competition, but if it wasn't Sky it would be something else that did that

Right international weekend over (thank god) let’s fucking ave this town getting 2017 vibes again. Sadly lost my old man last year to arsehole that is the big C but I know he is behind this rejuvenated team. However, if we do anything similar to 2017 I’ll be joining him in the big Leeds road shaped cowshed in the sky sooner then anticipated either through heart failure or liver failure due to over celebrating! Which provider are you with?.

Through Sky themselves orinoco. I ring they every year, threaten to leave for either Virgin or BT and they basically offer me what I want and on my terms. A lot of the time these companies will give ridiculous deals just to stop you leaving for another competitor. At the end of the day, they make more money from the adverts they run rather than the customer subscriptions. If Super Sunday starts at 1pm and finishes at 7pmm guaranteed an hour that broadcast will be commercials.
