With Nabi in, we'll be even more of a threat at corners. 2-1 Town. Rhodes (2)

Headless chickens going to be running around all over datm if we lose today lots of negative vibes about Town probably need 7 points from 12 to guarantee a play off spot. You can never say never, but the candidates for 6 of those have to be the 2 home games we have left. Pick a point up today and it’ll be a cracking result. If we get 6 from 12 that means we’ve narrowed it down to 5 contenders for the play off spots. Very rough and ready maths, so someone might be more measured, but I think it’s still very much in our hands. UTT!!! SEVEN ?

The way I see us lining up from that team announcement.
Gk Nicholls LWB Toffolo LCB Sarr CB Lees RCB Turton RWB Pipa DCM Hogg DCM Russell AML O’Brien AMR Thomas ST Rhodes
Think Toff & Pipa need to have very good games today to give us much of an attacking threat.

One win will do it imo. I'm not even sure 5 other teams can get more than 74/75?

‘Boro fans seem happy the ‘keeper has been dropped and the front lad too. No Colwill might be the difference if their front man is up for it, although with Sarr starting he might bag a hat trick himself.

Would definitely settle for a point today. But with ward and Colwill missing can’t see past a heavy defeat I’m afraid.

If he wanted to play 3-5-2 today, which it looks like he does, then I'm not too sure who else everyone expected Carlos to pick with the injuries to Ward and Colwill. The only surprises to me are on the bench, where Campbell should be really and the fact that Eiting now appears to be behind High.
Obviously we only get to see match days and official interviews plus the odd rumours, but it does appear that Eiting won't be playing for us again anytime soon, if ever.

I've often thought it looks an odd team selection before a game then we've won pretty comfortably so I've learnt to think nothing of the team that is put out. Injuries to Colwill and Ward are a blow and hopefully both niggles and being rested more than anything.
Don't think I'd agree it's a park the bus team though find that comment earlier a bit odd. If, as it looks, it's going to be 3 at the back with wing backs then the wing backs are both very attacking anyway. I'd personally rather see Thomas wide than up front in a 2 but like I said I've been wrong plenty this season.

Chicken reporting that neither Colwill or Ward’s injuries are serious so hopefully both will be back on Friday.

Darren England the ref, as he was 2019/20 when we lost ..in fact we had him 3 times that season and lost all 3..oddly not had him for 2 seasons, maybe he's been doing north west counties league...

Day for not overplaying in our half. One pass and run with the football to get it up the pitch. We have at least 4 in there who can drop a shoulder and get us up the pitch. Rhodes can still get across his marker, can still get a yard and get a shot off so as many low balls across the box as we can manage. 3 big lads for corners and free kicks. Lets see a lot more minor fouls committed by us up the pitch to break any moves from Boro.. I dont care how its done.. A Town performance will do.

If Ward's omission is just a precaution we should be ok. I wouldnt be risking anyone today knowing how we normally perform away at Boro. The 2 biggest games left for me are Barnsley and Bristol. Get 6 points from them and we will make the playoffs in my opinion. If Ward is going to miss the last games, do we maybe have a recall on Harratt? I would rather us play Sarr up front than Rhodes.

God, the crazy negativity has started early. So, we’ve got a couple of injuries to players who have contributed to us being third in the league! Boo hop. We have been pretty much injury free throughout the winter. I can’t remember a better season for injuries in the past 20 years. Every other team has at least as many missing. That, my friends, is professional football, especially with just a handful of games left. UTT You don't have to completely reinvent the team formation because of a couple of injuries.

5-3-2 or 5-4-1?
In both formations we have 1 of our 2 players playing out of position. I'm worried about our left with Jones bombing forwards and no recognised winger going back with him. That and Sarr will be over that side...

Looking forward to seeing how this team gets on with hopefully Pipa bombing down the wing. Fingers crossed we have a good Naby Sarr today, always fear he’s got a clanger in him when starting but he is capable of putting solid performances in too. Come on town.
