With all the uproar regarding Moss and penalties and the retained list I almost forgot about the guessing and fake kit reports around this time ! Anyone seen any posts on possible new kits or anyone have any preference? I really liked this years home kit and hoping we can keep it the same maybe with slight amendment but what about the away and 3rd kits? Black seemed popular this year and a lot of people seemed to like and we do seem to like a bright colour so fluorescent pink this year? š¤£š

As we know our main front of shirt sponsor for next season, it would be good to see the Utilita logo actually printed into the shirt design rather than a stick-on one; a la the Puma Pure 2017 shirt.

We should change our colour to red and put a tree on it - might get some ref decisions then.š

One of the change kits will be black. Don't like black kits, would great to use our Town - Red & Black colours, love the stripes, as per Ian Greaves 1970's team, or perhaps hoops, or quarters. When I started watching Town, 1962/63 season, our away kit was White shirts, Black shorts. Really liked the recent Shirt based on our Vileda kit - UTT.

One of the change kits will be black. I quite liked the Prime Time Recruitment one with the white sleeve. My only issue with black is, that it doesnt half make you warm.

An all-black away kit would be ace ā¦ just add red stripes to the shirt, sorted!

Other Championship teamās kits are starting to drop. The Stoke one has actually been released with three different short/sock combinations... Coventry one looks like a throwback to The mid to late 70ās when Ian Wallace went from Dumbarton to them - I vaguely remember stickers from then with that strip or similar.. The Rotherham one is the usual Arsenal lookalike and quite classy apart from the shadows that appear in amongst the red, though it could be a trick of the camera.. Stoke using the different socks / shorts malarkey to probably extract more cash from their fans, though I think we may well have played with white shorts below the navy blue away strip in a game or two last season as it helped the visually impaired, and thatās all good to have that option, but no change was needed in The Forest game, but still Moss couldnāt get it right or his right hand VAR man with their incompetence / corruption respectively... One thing for sure is Huddersfield Town retail staff have always produced the best of merchandise (Tesco bag type apart in the home kit of a few years ago apart) and I see no reason why I wonāt purchase all three when they come out for buying !

Yeah that coventry one is a modern version of the late 70s Admiral one they had where the 2 stripes continued down onto the shorts. Famously their second kit was the same design but in brown! Much to their rivals amusement I would have thought as they looked like turds.
Wales and Dundee had the same design.

Other home teams colours next season..
Yellow/Orange.. 5 Blue.....9 Red/Claret....7 White... 2
I'd like to see us wear the blue and white stripes away from home wherever possible tbh. That could be all but 9 games next season..

With a lot of people complaining about the cost of living and other people trying to go eco friendly it might be a good idea to keep this shirt for another year as they are not cheap to buy but dirt cheap to make and also have a big carbon footprint, A shirt made from polyester - as most football shirts are - has more than double the carbon footprint of one made from cotton (5.5kg of carbon dioxide per shirt compared to 2.1kg). I also think there is no need for 3rd shirts, shirts to walk out onto the pitch in, it would be interesting to know how many shirts we sell compared to how many we order for sale and where all the unsold stock goes to, even recycled polyester takes hundreds of years to decompose and can lead to microfibres escaping into the environment. I would also like to see the change going back to the proper dog and getting rid of that mutant one.

No one would see it.

All the different shirts clubs bring out are for the gullible only, first kit and a second for any potential colour clash is ample, third ones are very rarely needed and are often only worn even when there is no clash to justify their existence, and not because they need to be worn because of a clash, just milking the cash cow that is the fan.

I liked this year's home shirt and I agree that given the current financial situation plus environmental considerations it would be a great gesture from the club to continue with the same home kit for another season. Would love to see a return to red and black stripes for the change kit.

Must admit I have a soft spot for the red & black striped shirt/black shorts away combo. Dunno if my memory is playing tricks but I'm sure we always seem to do well when we go with that one.

Think I remember Brentford saying they were going to keep their kits from this season for next season due to the cost to fans, rising costs for people generally etc. Very much an exception to the rule.
I'll generally only buy 1 every 3, maybe 4 season depending on if I like them or not (or in the case of the first PL season if it's a 'special' season, ie our first PL kit).

Part of my pre season ritual is to buy the new home shirt and Iāll continue to do so. My reasoning is that you never know if you are going to need it for a very important away game. Happened twice in 5 years!
