I've seen people on here demean women as if they're inferior, second-class citizens - what would be the "smoking gun" to prove it? Would one have to tell them to "get in the kitchen", or would that still a be matter for interpretation? Discrimination is far more nuanced and subtle than that. Even then, what's the difference between someone saying, for example; "you dismissing the Women's Euros as being shit sounds a little bit misogynistic" and flat-out accusing someone of being a bigot? Is one okay, but not the other? Would someone have to use the "N" word for admins to allow one poster accusing another of probably being a bit racist? What does it take for "high jinks" to go from "banter" to being homophobic slurs? Have you noticed any transphobia on here recently, or has it not gone far enough to constitute a "fact"? Not having a go; but with respect, I'm not sure suggesting someone shows signs of certain discriminatory beliefs - when the evidence is plain to see - could reasonably be called "personal abuse". Wrong Board, nothing to do with Transfer Rumours! Sack the admins, the're not doing their job!  Yes, this is the daft nonsense we keep getting by having a divided forum. Why keep Transfers and Talk of the Town seperate, it's all about Town anyway?
There's beggar all else to discuss during the summer than transfers, so stick them under Talk of The Town, together with this advert and anything else to to do with our team.
Jumping back and forth, and moving threads back and forth is OCD territory, no need for it. Hopefully with new mods you'll wake up and see sense and revert the nonsensical set up. |
