Folks,
After some dedicated service to the forum and a lot of hard work behind the scenes that isn’t always obvious, Rigodon has notified Keith and myself of his desire to step down as a forum Administrator. I would hope you can join us in thanking Rig for his efforts; it’s a thankless task running the board and trying to balance the spectrum of opinions and needs that suit everyone. It can take a toll which means you need the skin of a rhino at times.
This means you are now in the hands of two relatively new Admins still, and we ask for your patience whilst this transition continues. However, Keith and I do feel a third Admin would be beneficial and therefore we are throwing the position open for applications.
Please use this thread constructively. If you are genuinely interested and can give some time to helping keep this board healthy and running fairly well (!) we would be happy to hear from you. We can obviously give you an overview of the role, it’s commitments, etc but we would also like to hear why you personally would make a sound Admin of the board.
Please note that your posting history will be reviewed as part of any process to recruit. Previous sanctions do not restrict any applicants but these may be raised when considering your application.
We are in the process of finalising some tweaks to how we operate and the forum rules to reflect the new regime and expect these to go live around the same time.
The deadline for expressions of interest and applications is Fri July 29th…ready for the new season. We anticipate (or hope might be more accurate) to have the person in place the following week.
