Carlos stayed loyal to Sinani and Holmes.
If Tino can get fit, he's potentially twice as good as either of those. Anyone that watches football regulary can see that, surely?

Contact with Town rang to say he joined up yesterday, another loan signing coming in , subject to any last min hold up and the Japanese lad is at another level, way beyond anything we have and beyond expectations. Are you Maynard Blue or Dr Nose?

I’ve been banging on about getting a Japanese lad or two for awhile. Very hard to get because most of the national team are already playing in Europe and because of the regulations surrounding international clearances for visas. Hard working does an injustice to them because they are technically gifted footballers. I’m glad to hear Yuta is impressing and I’m expecting big things out of the lad.

I met quite a few Japanese people travelling and worked with quite a few. Lovely people, very diligent and to work hard seems fairly ingrained in their culture. The technical level of their players has been quite high for a while, I think the challenge might be the physical aspect if teams are trying to clatter him and he's not getting protection from the referee. I'm sure he'll manage though, looking forward to seeing him in action!

Seemingly our dressing room was really good last year. Tino will know that and he’ll also know he’ll get opportunities here
If he’s coming to the championship it’s a pretty sensible choice. He knows the lads/ club/ manager so no risk there. And he will get game time which is what he wants - potentially being our main man and kicking on like colwill did

It really comes down to the individual with regards to dealing with it. I suspect that he came here to expose himself to the physical side of the English game that it is famous for with ambition to play in the PL, otherwise he could have most likely picked a number of less physical leagues. I have no doubt he means business and won’t be easily intimidated. Only time will tell.

Fingers crossed it’s Elliot Anderson Same type as Tino, no? Need a striker! Anderson as been used down the left side and seems more of a goal threat hope we can get him in. And yes we could do with a striker.

Me and my lad were discussing it after the play off final, I don’t think we were too worried about giving him game time in the run in, because last seasons loan was all about helping him get fit and letting him have a look at our set up. Might be wrong but that was a weird loan, I have a feeling we knew it was all but agreed he’d be here next season.

So it won’t be as big a shock from Holland to the Championship as it would be from the J-League to the Championship.

I’m glad to hear Yuta is impressing and I’m expecting big things out of the lad. it's definitely an untapped market. I know a few celtic supporters, they weren't expecting much when their new manager signed 3 or 4 japanese players but they absolutely love them now. I think a lot of European scouts fall into stereotypical thinking, that they're not physically strong enough to play here. In reality two of the best Japanese players to play in England have been defenders (Yoshida at Southampton and Tomiyasu at Arsenal).

We were never going to rely on him and would’ve been foolish to do so and he wouldn’t have done much anyway, but suspect that’s the game up for Rolando Aarons now. A year left on his contract and four good wide options ahead of him in Thomas, Koroma, Mahoney and Tino - more good competition for the squad.

Going to interesting how we do set up with a good selection of players all fighting for a place and hopefully some more additions.

Good point that not sure, imagine it will be extendable if he is getting sufficient game time. It may just be an error in wording thing as Dr Nose said season long.

It doesn’t say which bit of 2023. If one had to guess from that wording, I would suggest you have to assume it is Jan 23. Having said that, why would they not set it up as a season loan deal with a break clause? Flexibility and less admin!
