After losing two (inc. Head) what’s status on the replacements? Sorry if missed another thread but surely that’s a massive piece missing in the jigsaw now?

Saw that Chicho is staying on as a coach.
Not heard of any replacements yet though.

Old Deano has been rumoured to have been on the blower to Kenmargra and Stotts. He’s hoping for a double announcement today. Don’t hold your breath though.

We’ll likely promote from within, and those coaches will have a strong knowledge of the youth players which should help with bringing them through.
It might be uninspiring in the short term, but if we think they’re good enough then I’m all for it.

I can see Jon Worthington stepping up to be part of Schofields team. Maybe even his number 2?

It does sound quite plausible based on the role he currently performs at Birmingham: First team coach with particular responsibility for managing the integration of U23s into the first team setup.

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure when Hef came back he said he was wanting to go down the business side of football. He wanted to get experience for a director of football/CEO role.
Has this change to now being defensive coach come about because Hoyle has told him there is no role on that side for him?

Could be a number of things:
1. A change of heart from the Hef. 2. Bromby was a coach prior to his upward moves with Town, so maybe there’s been conversations about that, as in, ‘this experience will help you longer-term’. 3. Hef coaching might be extracting added value from his role and salary for the club.

Think he said when he came back last year, that he wanted to try all aspects of the club. Guess he's narrowing it down now with this role although he's still working on his sporting director masters

Guess he's narrowing it down now with this role although he's still working on his sporting director masters Yeah no matter what Hef wants to do with his career in football, he will benefit from a year in coaching. You'd expect for him to be juggling this role alongside his studies and other duties for the club and in the media.
