Well those that were underwhelmed at the starting 11 were not wrong were they. Russel strolling around as if he is some sort of superstar then gives the ball away nearly every time. Holmes running to where the ball isn't going to be, Koroma looks completely disinterested. We have no midfield presence and cannot hold the ball for more than a handful of passes. Be a good result to keep it at 3 or less. Could not tell you who played well for us - oh - Nichols

We lost LOB and Toff and we lost all of our energy. Ourso called replacements can't make the first team.
We look unfit slow and we are not in this game. This appears to be an exebition game we are making them look like Real Madrid.
If we stand off them any more we will be camped in our box (sorry we are).

Regardless of whether Burnley have been good or bad, that can be up for debate, and time will tell how they do this season, we have to take a long hard look at ourselves. We finished 3rd last season, not 20th. How can we not string a couple of passes together? Why do they have more men than us when we are attacking and more men than us when we are defending? Why dont we have any kind of plan? Why are we playing from the first whistle like we are 1-0 with 10 men and 5 minutes to go? Why havnt we changed anything?
I am struggling to think of a much more boring half of football. We havnt done anything. This is supposed to be a game of Championship football. Its been completely embarassing.

Koroma was awful, midfield doesn’t exist, Russell thinks he can take hours and the opposition will let him, nobody can pass to a man. Good job Burnley’s finishing is a bit rusty.

Whilst the only positive from that half is I'm 83 miles closer to my bed than if I was in the seat I hold a season ticket for in the Kilner.... ....Please no over-reactions on here tonight. I'm certainly not over reacting. That was the most clueless 45 mins I can remember since Wadsworth. |

Even though I think we are going to struggle, this isn't a game to judge us from. Burnley are going to be walkway title contenders they looks 2 levels above us I disagree. Whilst I'm not reading too much into being 0-1 down at half time to a side that was in the PL last year, I can read plenty into that performance. I wasn't worried about this season. Didn't expect a promotion charge, but there's some truly crap teams in this division so thought we should be safe. Early days but my confidence in "not doing a Barnsley" ain't high right now. |

Not sure if anyone has commented but Burnley have been exceptional Bang average apparently Yes. Any team that is playing a team that has been so dire will look exceptional. If we turn up this 2nd half, you might understand the game a bit more. Burnley are not that great, we have been abysmal |
