In one of Warnock’s first interviews he stated how disappointed he was we’d let Sorba out on loan He’ll be fantastic next season. Look at what he did to Koroma ! Sorba Thomas - probably more than anyone - needs a man management expert right now. Next season could be interesting.

If he stays he gets a clean slate from me. New season, new optimism as always. We know Sorba can play, we know he can be effective, we hope that if he stays he gets with Neils programme. If he does we get a player and we dont have to look elsewhere. We all know we have to be much more effective going forward and the more players we have who can run with the ball the better.

This really could be the key season in where Sorba's career goes, if he buys into NW's philosophy, listens to him & rebuilds connections with team mates, he could become a decent player, however, if he decides it's not for him, he might waste a career.

What connections need rebuilding with team mates?……

Big opportunity for him to come back into the fold and knuckle down. We know he has ability. Needs to push onto the next level though.

A few things... Warnock is clearly a great man manager, but the player has to want it as well. Warnock hasn't miraculously turned every half-arsed player into one giving 100% each week. Sorba isn't on the level of Taarabt, where Warnock would let him do what he wants when he wants as it benefitted the team. If Warnock smells that Sorba doesn't want it, he'll be gone.
Also, my concern is by the sounds of it, it isn't going to be Warnock doing the training day in, day out - it will be Blackwell and Jepson. Kevin Blackwell hasn't got the greatest reputation of getting players onside...
And like others have mentioned, be interesting to see how Tom Lees and Sorba are on the first day back. Tom is a good pro and their bust up is probably all forgotten...

20 assists over the last two seasons in the Championship is some going, especially when you consider he was in and out of the town and Blackburn sides last season. He needs to start scoring goals though. I don't think many wingers in this division will have assist stats like that.
If Warnock gets him playing to his potential he could be a real asset next season.

If Warnock gets him playing to his potential he could be a real asset next season. A line of three just behind the front man of Koroma-Rudoni-Thomas is not bad. Especially if we can get a midfielder who can drive on from deep to complement Rudoni and his relative lack of mobility. And a striker who can get on the end of chances. Sorba Thomas needs proper man-management. Fotheringham was the worst choice we could have made for that. I suspect Neil Warnock will get a tune out of him; Thomas wants to succeed, I really do think that's at the core of his frustration and what people see as petulance. If we can refocus that, get him firing again, we have a very good player who is still a relative novice in this division.

Happy they were proved wrong.

An on form Thomas and Koroma on the wings would be as good as anything in this league. If Warnock can turn Koroma into the player he has become then he can quite easily do the same with Thomas.

People seem to think Warnock makes a player out of everyone he gets his hands on which is clearly not the case. If Thomas continues with the world is against me attitude then I can't seem him being someone Warnock will want around
