If this is true then MF needs to go now. Hoggy has been a fantastic player for us. Yes not the most gifted but desire and leadership is clearly missing on the pitch. Bromby and MF have to go. I’d have to say the same.he seems to have come in like a bull in a china shop. With bromby it’s more difficult to say as unknown what parameters he’s working under.He may have identified x,y and z who were already at a higher level of experience and knowhow but told we couldn’t afford them.However if he has made the decisions on schofield and fotheringham off his own back then he has no leg to stand on.I would say the schofield one the situation was slightly different in how corberan just left with no word of warning. |

Hogg will have played under a lot of managers and he knows this club inside out. If anyone can judge MF and his way of working it is Hogg. I remember he wasn’t happy when Siewart was here. If Hogg is unhappy that speaks volumes and I cannot see MF riding that storm for long.

Hogg was vocally and physically unhappy when Corberan left (Hoyle was livid at the time with him) when the announcement was also made about Fotheringham he was again notably unhappy - rumours of a fall out with him on the pitch wouldn't surprise me at all. Wonder where Hoyle's alliances lie.. if I remember rightly Hogg & family are / were very close to Hoyle and his. Hogg is the absolute pinnacle of everything we represent as a club, Wagner, Cowley, Corberan, Hoyle himself and many others have said this over the years. If we let his no mark idiot force him out of the club or into retirement I would be devastated. I'd love to see Hoggy as gaffer, just not yet. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN DEAN, you will never get the fans back. |

Yeah if theres any truth in that then its really not a good sign at all.
Hogg is the leader of that dressing room and they will all look up to him and respect him greatly. Not sure any will towards Fotheringham as it stands.
Ive no problem with them going for a novice manager again.,. its a gamble that has paid massive dividends in the past,,but its got to be the right novice manager. Early days and despite a reasonable start initially, Im really not sure this guy is.

MF stated he wasnt here to make friends, thats fine. But on the same note, you can pick players who you dont like. Or does he mean he's only going to pick players he's friendly with/likes.
Anyone who think Hoggy doesnt improve our current starting 11 really doesnt understand football or the club.
I hope this is just rumours and that Hoggy is carrying a niggle.........

Oh shit.... if this true, which it obviously is with Maynards input, then we are well and truly fucked under his stewardship.
The only hope was hoggy coming back to organise the boys on the pitch.
Why the delay? Sack him today and get narcis in charge until the world Cup.
No wonder he bought nobody with him, nobody likes him..... I have been on the fence last couple of games, but if he's lost hoggy, he's lost the changing room completely and he's lost me and presumably many other loyal fans.

After watching him for 10 years or so, can any on here imagine he’s not always busting a bollock in training. He was by far one of our fittest players for the last few seasons
Something is obviously very wrong with leaving him out. And I can’t see many fans siding with MF over Hoggy.
The truth will come out in the wash hopefully

This is truly a depressing thread. Hogg is more than a legend for me, he is up there in the same box as Booth, Stewart and Mooy. If MF has alienated him, then this is truly a dark day, and the quicker we get shut off him (MF) the better.

The key to getting out of this mess when he came in was getting the players onside and playing for him.
His alienating of players from the off seems to be the work of an absolute idiot.
There is nothing about him that gives you any faith in his ability to move us forward.
Hoggy will have seen his like before and no doubt called him out within days.
This won’t end well.

With the post being liked by one of the most respected and trustworthy posters on here the truth is in no doubt.
I think we as fans deserve answers for this absolute comedy show of what is going on.
And what's really annoying/upsetting is that a club legend in Hoggy is being thrown under another of MF busses.
If he thinks fans will side with him and not Hoggy he needs to think again.
Hoggy is one of the most respected players to ever play for our club, a true professional and once he has his coaching badges one I'd like to see as our long term manager in the future.

Another issue, if the problem with Hogg is correct, and Maynard's nod seems to comfirm that, is MF has, on several occasions, lied to us and the media. Bigging Hoggy up and saying how he can't wait to get him into the team. If we can see this from a distance then the people in positions of power at the club must. They have dug another huge hole by the sounds of it. How on earth they put this right I cannot imagine.
