His legs have gone, constantly fouls and to slow to make a tackle, can't score, can't pass. Yes he loves the club, but sadly he is costing us games, as to slow in midfield and when he drops to c half his passing and reception of the ball is poor.

Nice one Hoggy. Easily a player I could see retiring with us and stepping into coaching if he wanted.
Say what you want about recent performances, Hogg is still a key player and has been a core part of Huddersfield Town for almost a decade.

We have a lot of inexperience at this level and inexperience overall so from a dressing room point of view I think its an excellent signing. Seems a genuine guy and someone, I am sure, the younger players can learn from.

We have a lot of kids and inexperience at this level. Absolutely crucial that we have some strong voices and experience in the dressing room to set standards and bring the young lads through.

The guy is a fucking legend. I initially deleted the fucking but it doesn’t have the same impact. Sorry for saying fucking. I know some people don’t like the word fucking. I won’t say fucking for a while.

Great news. Doesnt have the mobility he did a few years ago but he's still a key player for us as he showed against Stoke when he was excellent. I like the look of him dropping back into a back 3 too. Could extend his career a couple of years by doing that. And hes a proper leader.
Club legend is Hogg.

Think he should always stay in front of a back three rather than dropping back between central defenders and should generally give someone else the ball rather than try a "Worldy" pass ... ....but an excellent signing - last couple of games read the game superbly.

With no Town match this weekend Jonathan can literally ‘Hogg’ the headlines - good news and makes for a positive build up to a weekend which may or may not have been match wise, but is now !

I’ve run out of new things to say about Hoggy.
Anyone who thinks he’s past it should watch him for 5 minutes during a game.
One of , if not THE fittest player on the pitch.
Perfect example of a Captain leading by example. He’s not perfect but the guy sweats blood for Town.

People brand footballers legends too easily
For me Hogg is a legend for his success and time served in the blue and white. He joins the company of boothy and Jacko in a very elite club

Thought it took him a little while to settle in when first arriving but since he did he has been an absolute gem and probably the best £400,000 we've ever spent. Sure, he's getting on a bit now and is having to learn to adapt his game a bit to suit, but I feel so lucky to have had him here for so long and that he will most likely retire here now too. Anyone who doesn't appreciate what he still brings to this team, you will when he's gone believe me.

I recall Phil Billing saying that playing alongside Hoggy helped his game enormously. A useful player in his own right, but even more do for the development of Camara, Diarra, Rudoni et al.

The man gets nowhere near the respect he deserves. Consumate professional who’d run through walls for the club.
Beats me how we revere the likes of Bullock (128 caps) & Jock Morrison (45 caps) yet don’t give the same gratitude to the General (287 caps) despite him being as important to us as both and holding us together through 9 tumultuous seasons.

Been a great player for the club. For much of his time he’s been the 1st name on the team sheet through many different managers as well.

When people talk about everything wrong with modern day players, Hogg is the opposite of that. Loyal, will run through walls for the badge, never gives up even when the going gets tough & never fussed about getting the plaudits.
Absolute legend.
Even if he’s started/starts on a gradual decline of ability don’t forget the influence he will have on the rest of the players as a leader. Clever business from Town.

Modern day Darren Bullock?
Attitude wise, he’s been a better player than Bullock.
