I know it’s self prophesising but you can see the last weekend being florists winning to stay up and us losing to go down ,just seems to be the way things are going at the moment ,btw did anyone see LOB getting a real rocket from 2 of the florist players after one of the goals ,looked like a little boy being told off ,not good to see but they were mad at him I saw it. Didn't see anyone bollocking Lingard though after his fook up. Anyway, as some have said on here good riddance to him and his bestie. It's about where they went not the fact they did

Should not be in the premier league - they are there due to match fixing ………. Jon Moss took a final salary pension from the well known match fixing forest chairman …..fact. In the words of Carl Sagan, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. You say it's fact - how do you know? (N.B. Not suggesting Moss's performance on the day was anything other than dog shite) Balance of probability suggests to me that mrbluesky is correct. Without VAR you can make an argument that it was an honest mistake. We all make them and even I admit that on first viewing, in real time I didn't think they were penalties. But they had VAR. And on viewing that both pens were absolutely clear. I very strongly suspect that Jon Moss and Paul Tierney were keen to ensure the "correct" result.

Rafa Benitez lined up apparently Just came here to type the same. I heard that too. Could probably stomach this Spaniard better than a certain other Spaniard.

Again that hurt little boy look and then he uneasily tried to laugh it off. Both the Judas twats must be realising right now that the grass isn't always greener on the other side and that money isn't everything.

Personally, as ugly and Welsh as he is. I really do like Steve Cooper.
Shame he is at Forest.
Hope he leaves and turns another club around, one with a better and more likeable chairman.

No problem with him here too.
I'd take him at Town tbh.

Good manager.. Ridiculous transfer policy has put them in this position.. He’ll get the blame tho.. Would love him as our manager.. 🍻

Superb isn’t it? Seen Toff isn’t even on the bench. Would anyone take him back in January if he was available for a loan? Carlos sacked, Pipa dumped on bench now (unused) & LOB hauled off at half time......not going too well with the Greek 'loadsamoney Stavros'.

If he'd flapped them a bit harder he might have got enough height to block the free kick 🤣

Benitez would be a fool to take on that job Paid a fortune, " What a brilliant manager Benitez is" if he succeeds.. Paid a fortune, "even Benitez couldn't save them", and a massive pay off when he's sacked if he fails. Seems like a win-win to me. It just highlights how important that team spirit and togetherness is that promoted sides usually carry forward into the next season. A bunch of players and coaches who have succeeded together , are used to winning together and have that bond. Most clubs have that in the 1st season and start off pretty well until they get found out a bit.. but it can be enough to keep them up in the end. Its then that they lose it when they bring in lots of new players and the second season is a bigger struggle despite spending a fortune. We did that and so many others have too. Forest just binned all that togetherness and team spirit from day 1. It could go quite spectacularly wrong for that club which would be a crying shame.

I don't wish to be a party pooper but isn't it a sad indictment of our club that the most enjoyment we are getting is seeing another club struggle. Now I get it completely and I have no time for the Trees but I do think this would be more fun were we doing better. I hope things improve for us but if not were going to end up looking a bit stupid/pathetic. Our own team have given us virtually nothing this season, have to look elsewhere for some entertainment and the fact the florists are doing so poorly after all the hype and big spending is doing that. Doesn’t retract from where we are but it is a bit of light relief. And the best is yet to come. When they go down it will be pure carnage for them financially.

I like how everyone is fed up with Forest's 'we're a proper team cos we sing when losing 4-0' thing. That was our gimmick!

You can get found out very quickly in the prem, it can be an unforgiving bastard of a league. Getting done by a local rival that hadn't won a single game up to that point is the sort of thing that gets charimen/owners trigger fingers very itchy.

A few more interesting quotes from the Forest forum...
"We weren't anywhere near as good as we thought we were last year."
"If we replace him with Benitez we want shooting."
"Is it a coincidence that we have shipped loads of goals since Lodi started ahead of Toffolo?"
"We start believing our own myths. There were times even after Christmas when we were rubbish but scarped by. Millwall away, first half was garbage, second half Samba kept us in it and we then had a good period where we scored late on. Cardiff away was absolute rubbish. Stoke were the better team at the City Ground. Without Zinks we were clueless against Luton. Sheff U did a very good job on us in the second leg too. Those suggesting that Spence, Garner and Zinks would change this are, IMHO, misguided. Yes, we'd have greater togetherness bt it wouldn;t make up for the gulf in ability."
"It wouldn't take much for the atmosphere in the ground to become rather ugly."
"Sacking managers at the rate we do has made us a laughing stock for 23 years. How much progress are you looking for? Presumably more than we have seen over the last 12 months? Good luck finding a manager that can deliver that."
"A 30% win ratio from now till May will put us in a fight, we’re not fighting at all now so to say we’re currently in a relegation dog fight is laughable."
"When you see those pics of the Forest players after the first goal arguing its clear that they don't know what they're doing and that's down to coaching, prep and tactics and that's after a few weeks with no game to actually prepare for last night."
"Sorry, and we'll be hugely grateful to him for getting us up, but for me Coops is out of his depth"
And they have a thread moaning about the standard of refereeing in the Greedy League. This one stood out for me...
"We need to think twice about comments like these as we were berating teams complaining last year in the championship for comments like that at the end ( glory teams) . Maybe those decisions got us here in first place. Maybe it’s just the way football is. The biggest teams get the biggest decisions , it absolutely stinks but nobody was complaining at Wembley."

If the bit about him not being allowed to travel with the team is true (which seems odd & churlish), then could the phrase ‘taxi for Cooper’ be factually correct? Wouldn’t be too much of a fare to be honest…

I'm very pleased they are bottom of the league (long may it continue), couldn't happen to a nicer set of players or fans - the way they have turned on Cooper is insane, though maybe not as insane as spending £150m or whatever & still relying on Cook as your Premier league CB.
What I don't understand is the anger on here towards Toff & LOB - who in their right mind, given the opportunity to play in possibly the top league in the world, with all the vast increases in wages that can set their families up for life with one contract, would say sorry, no thanks I can't join you cos we were robbed by the ref & VAR in the Final?
While they played for us, both lads gave their all & look at how much we are missing them both now, probably both on & off the pitch. I wish we had them still but I, for one, can see why players try & better themselves, especially as the players have no lifelong attachment to our club. How many on here, hand on heart, could say they'd have turned Forest down?

Every cloud has a silver lining & Cooper being refused to travel on team bus meant he could go drown his sorrows in the nearest boozer.......where every single Leicester City fan wanted to buy him a drink.

The mood of this thread is rooted in one season, and one game in particular.
Not all Forest supporters are nobheads, but it’s football, it’s meant to be a bit tribal.
Unless some things come out about their chairman, the biggest frustration I have isn’t with Forest, it’s with PGMOL.
That said, owing to the above mentioned tribal nature, I hope they come back down to earth with a huge bump. They may well find themselves cut adrift by the WC break.
As for them playing Steve Cook, it’s bizarre. He’s got at least a couple of mistakes every game at PL level, not to mention that VAR seems to favour him this season.
The PL will milk a basket case Forest for all they can. It’s just another story that keeps their product at the top of the fan talk…
