How poetic, if their song of "we'll never play you again" actually happened. I've disliked Nottingham Forest for much longer than most on this board.... ....but did they ever sing that to us? Never heard it PS However, one sad fucking deluded c*** memorably said it to me on 16th May 2003, the day after Forest lost to Sheffield United in the 2nd division play offs after being two goals in front whilst meanwhile we were in Admin and facing division 4. We've played 23 league (or play off) games since then & I'm sure we'll play them many more times. Being arrogant & deluded is nothing new, trust me.

My Forest mates have all gone very quiet since 4:00. "2-0, and you f**ked it up, 2-0, and you..."🎵🎶🎵🎶

Trying to keep all those players happy in a struggling side will be Coopers biggest challenge this season.
I wouldn't be surprised if it goes spectacularly wrong. Over £150m spent on 20 odd new players is a recipe for disaster.

But they are a big club and they belong in the Premier League...!
When AFC Forest of Nottingham are playing in the Midlands Counties League Division 2 at some point in the future, we should get a coach and have a day out to take the piss out of the deluded idiots.

Madness. If you must blow so much brass but my 6 players at £20m each.
You can only have 11 men in the pitch. No point having 30 average players causing problems on the training ground.
Destined to end in tears.

Just had a look at their board.
I think this comment merits sharing....
...."Really hoping it all clicks but it currently looks like Cooper has no idea what his best team is..."
FFS are you surprised, I doubt he can remember all the new signings names.

Theyll go down this season. Wasnt it Fulham a few years back that assembled a completely new squad from the promotion one and they finished bottom.
One of the few things some newly promoted sides have is momentum and team spirit even if they lack quality.
Financially they will be stuffed. I look forward to it.

Didn’t we have 10+ points at this stage when we went up?
If he gets them to gel before Xmas then I’m sure they will stay up but right now they are looking like having a miserable season. Which sort of makes me snort and chuckle, mainly because of their arrogance and the fact we were robbed. However, I’d expect we would be in the same position had we gone up.

It’s the early points gained in the first 10 matches when promoted teams have momentum and are fearless that keep them up. Without looking up details, we quickly got 10 points. Blackpool had about 25 after 18 or so games and still went down. Teams find you out, you become more defensive and confidence drains. Almost impossible to turn it around. Forest have dismantled their team entirely and look like strangers. Hard to find some of Stan Ternant’s infamous ‘team gel’ with games and pressure coming thick & fast.

Falling out all over the place about not singing when they were pegged back. Cooper got the team wrong, although with 20 odd new players how the fuck anybody knows the right team is beyond me. Great to see them beaten at home by a team that is sure as shit to go down.

We had more points than them at the same stage but that doesn't fit with their narrative so the Forest fans on twitter are comparing our 2nd season to this one. Suppose they both ultimately end up with relegation....

I can see cooper getting the bullet and Carlos getting the job at forest. Would that put the cat amongst the pigeons? Would he sort that back line out? I hope they go bust, twice.

A fairly large group of them sang it to us as we were waiting for our train after the game. I'd assumed we weren't alone in receiving that little serenade. TBH I couldn't get on board with the animosity towards them until we arrived in London. I only know one Forest fan personally and he's a really sound bloke, plus I had a soft spot for them thanks to the Clough era. Every side has its bell ends, but they seemed to have more than their fair share on the day, some before the game and a lot after. Social media seems to back that up. I don't mind sore losers as they tend to be quite funny, but graceless winners are every bit as pathetic, minus the charm of being amusing.

When Town went up we still had the backbone of players from the promotion season. That early momentum and good start was what eventually saw us survive. Believe me it will get harder for Forest after Christmas if they are struggling. Oh well..

They should only have 1 point. West Ham destroyed them but they sporned 3 points Don’t worry. That was all part of the master plan of “Project Notts Forest Go Bust”. Give them some early points to get their chairman all giddy and spend 100 Million+ in the window.

That was my favourite as well - and I thought exactly the same as you Sacked by October!! He permanently looks like he fell asleep playing the mouth guard challenge and the wind changed, but by all accounts he's a genuinely decent chap. One of football's good guys. Forest are an ugly club with a reputation for beautiful football. Their manager may be the yin to their yang.
