Part of the problem is CC massively overachieved. Bottom three budget usually means a bottom three (rather than top three - one day people will marvel at the job he did) finish. Not saying Schofield is the right man or not, but the squad has got weaker year on year since relegation from the Premier League. There’s only one way that usually ends. The problems are higher than the coaching staff. OR Part of the problem is that CC did a fantastic job with the players available and it just shows how fortunate we were to have him as manager. I think we’re saying the same thing, to be honest! 😁

your logic would be sound if he did not play players out of position.
5 at the back today. At home. Against Blackpool.
And we still lost.
Unforgivable. Time to go Mr Schofield. Time to go.
Way inexperienced. I’ve no coaching badges we need a goal. Answer isn’t Ruffels haha I was half expecting DS to put Ruffels on as a striker.

My my all the arseholes are on here tonight, personally apart from the finishing thought we played reasonably well, the goal should have been given and I don’t think we should be sacking the coach, reading the crap on here think I’ll be giving posting on here for a while, see you at QPR. UTT This is a football forum for fans views, right or wrong you calling all other fans on here arseholes, because they have a different opinion to yours is embarrassing. If you think you are right then fine, but plenty more beg to differ.

1 thing I can't get my head around is why he basically plays Hogg as a CB. He isn't a CB. Either play him as a CM (or CDM), or play a CB in the CB position.

I can't believe anyone watching that today could say we played well. I could name about three posters who think otherwise, but I just can’t be arsed!

Didn’t go to today’s game due to a prior engagement, it likely could have been moved but I just knew the game would be another non-event and am glad I stuck to my guns and instead had a very enjoyable afternoon boarding in the waves at Saltburn. Danny has to revert back to his old role, and the sooner the better, and a new head coach brought in asap. He was a cheap appointment and has been proven, not yet at least, up to the job. No disgrace there, probably given to him 2 years too early and a bit of a panic move by the club after Corberan jumped ship with the new season almost on us. I think we have some decent players who are more than capable of keeping us in the Championship but we need someone who can mobilise, organise and motivate them properly and now before we drift too far and the campaign becomes a relegation fight. Said it before, Ainsworth would be my choice. Should be ready for a step up after doing a very good job over several years at Wycombe, bit of a character to boot. Sadly, I think Dean Hoyle will persevere with Danny at least until the international break and I’m not sure he’ll want to be paying another club compo either and will look at an out of work manager as a replacement.

That’s like being diagnosed with cancer and refusing chemo. My mum refused chemo as it wouldn’t have made a difference, terrible post that! Totally agree. It was in very poor taste when an alternative analogy could have been used rudoni2021. And credit where it’s due stinkypete, you had the spine to apologise for your comment the other day.

As a third poll option, I’d add in ‘Step down and return to the coaching set-up’.
That would get my vote. He’s been dealt a poor hand, a few fresh cards collected but maybe it’s too late to save the gamble.

I think he deserves a game or two with Mbete and Helik in the team. It’s clear that the selections are due to him making the best of what he has got and I don’t think the likes of Ruffels are up to scratch. LM and MH could shake up the starting 11 Maybe! After the window shut, I thought the defence was the least of our problems. We looked to have brought in quality and added depth. He then plays every defender in the wrong fucking positions and doesn’t change it when he has the chance. I don’t know if the coaching team are trying to be clever whereas the basic requirement of coaching is square pegs in square holes, especially when you are paddling towards shit creek!Totally agree with the bit in bold.... ...especially when you're playing a team you SHOULD have the personnel to beat (no real disrespect to Blackpool intended). Round pegs round holes. I find it really hard to avoid the conclusion Danny thought about things too much today and was trying too hard to prove he has Carlos' nouse and ended up causing us problems.

If there’s going to be any reaction you’d hope it would be sooner rather than later - QPR away next another ground we notoriously struggle that

I don't want DS to be sacked immediately , but clearly the man is fast running out of time to reinvigorate this Town team , he desperately needs a few positive results, very quickly.
I do not like managers being sacked without being given a really good run of games , but I fear DS is not up to managing a championship club , I hope he is given a little more time to prove me wrong , clearly, time is running out for DS , I have no animosity towards the man , but the next few games will be telling .

We didn't even create anything to finish from what I saw.

Think the majority of fans predicted this would happen, needs sorting sooner rather than later, QPR is not the happiest of hunting grounds for Town, a point there at this moment in time would be a great result.

Not sure what everyone is worried about, ShortbreadPete has already told us all its going to work out perfectly. He's seen in to the future If having a dig at me helps you feel better that's fine with me. Let's be fair though, I did not use the word 'perfectly'. Things will work out but I said it required patience. I also said that it was too early to judge DS and that he needs more time. I stand by that. Does time and patience involve League One?

Does time and patience involve League One? No definitely not I 100% admire your positivity but this, to me, is a relegation set up similar to Wadsworth's team back in 2002.

The warning signs have been there since the Burnley game, DS had the chance to make a statement about his style and way of playing and he fluffed it and has continued to fluff his lines ever since. If he has gone then great, I feel sorry for him but had to happen.

Today was huge for DS & it didn't go too well.
We've faced 8 championship clubs this season & lost 6 with a whimper. Drew one after being 2-0 up & won the other against a team that sacked their manager after.
We're cut adrift in the relegation zone, even if we won our game in hand we'd still be a point adrift.
Danny is not the right man to take us forward unfortunately & Hoyle needs to pull the plug on his experiment before it's too late.
Not sure if the rumours he's gone are true but I hope it is.
Nothing against him personally but he's out of his depth in the Championship, he'd be better learning his trade in league 2.

Playing players out of position intentionally. He had three CBs at his disposal today; Boyle, Mbete and Helik. He chooses to play Hogg ahead of all three. When he can make a change, he chose Rufells ahead of Helik. If Helik isn’t ready, don’t fuking put him on the bench ahead of two CBs that are. Every other player played in a position that is comfortable for them.
