So basically we would have to pay any amount owing? Thanks Either we pay or Young Boys agree a payment package - it's a game of chess it seams Town rightly so don't want to pay but equally Young Boys would like us to appoint him without them owing anything. Messy. So let's forget about him and get a manager named.

Messy. So let's forget about him and get a manager named. That's a decision for Dean and Bromby - Other people are being spoken to and if there is any standouts I wouldn't bet against them leaving Wagner behind, if Wagner is that keen to re-join you'd suspect he'd be willing to work with Young Boys regarding the monies owed. It's very reminiscent of the Frankie De Jong Man Utd saga earlier this summer....

Apologies, what's the situation with YB and money? Wagner is still being paid a salary by young boys due to his early termination of contract - legally it's an issue and also if he was to be offered a job by Town young boys wouldn't be liable for the remainder of the monies owed - it's messy. So will we get any closer to knowing who the new man might be today? Has to be sooner rather than later so they have 10 days to assess. Much like player transfers, things can change very quickly. But currently there's nothing imminent Just as a follow up to this. Wagner is still Hoyle's firm favourite but there are other factors in play that could affect any potential deal (aside from the financial issue with Young Boys), it's well documented what these may be. Town are keeping their options open have been thorough in their interview process. Barry and Woodgate are towards the top of the list if Wagner doesn't happen

Must admit Barry looks an intriguing one so wouldn't be too disappointed with that at all.

Think it's a case of go flick the kettle on and put your feet up - there isn't going to be anything sorted imminently.

Bowyer is out of work, team him up with Woodgate. They could get the squad running up and down Mill Hill

Don't know if this is true Does Wagners coaching badge level not help his work permit issue? always thought that coaches with a high UEFA Coaching qualification were pretty much allowed straight in

Wagner is first choice just need to sort out contractual issues with Young Boys and needs to get a work permit I expect this to take around 2-3 weeks. Wagner will bring his own Backroom staff and is talking to Christoph Buhler to try and get him to come back.(Narcis will stay aswell)

There's a growing list of folk on here who claim to be in the know. Have the club appointed Julian Assenge as our new Leaksmeister?

Don't know if this is true Does Wagners coaching badge level not help his work permit issue? always thought that coaches with a high UEFA Coaching qualification were pretty much allowed straight in It helps in the sense that holding the Pro License is a pre-requisite, but a candidate wouldn't simply get waved through. Any prospective non-British manager also needs to have spent at least 36 months (or 24 consecutive months) in the last five years managing in a "Top League" or a top 50 ranked national team. So DW & CB should automatically qualify on the basis of ~39.5 months between Town, Schalke and YBB. www.thefa.com/-/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/registrations/mens-manager-criteria-202223.ashx

Anyone, literally anyone, on here could have written the same thing (well, apart from pOsitIVe/pRePare maybe) and probably not be too far off the mark. Shut up, daft lad.

There is absolutely no chance we would appoint Woodgate, there would be hell on and after what Bromby said on Saturday about us absolutely having to get this right it does not fit in with what he said.

Woodgate? How is he a top coach that has worked with and for the best? Normally a good idea to avoid scraping through the bottom of the barrel.
I’d rather leave it with Chico.
