Woodgate? How is he a top coach that has worked with and for the best? Normally a good idea to avoid scraping through the bottom of the barrel. I’d rather leave it with Chico. I'd rather we appoint Chico off X-Factor than bloody Woodgate.

From his interview earlier this week it's pretty obvious that Mr Bromby is delighted with the structure that he has set up, if not actually bloody smug about it, so any new "manager" is going to have to know his place.
This rules out any established manager with character but encourages "successful" coaches to apply. Not very promising, but cheap and they won't buck the Hoyle/Bromby system.

Wagner now 6/4 - get on that price quick as it’ll go

Wagner now 6/4 - get on that price quick as it’ll go I know that's simply to do with betting, but according to the poll on here it's worth noting that over 50% of DATM posters don't want him. 🤷🏻♂️

There's cheap, and there's good value.
We don't have the budget to compete financially with WBA, Stoke, Norwich et al, so we have to be smarter with what we have.
The experienced manager with a strong track record, who wants to bring in his own coaching team and his own players is either going to cost more than we have or will have to sell a lot of players to bring in fewer players "on the cheap". When they've gone, the new guy comes in and does another clean sweep again. That's expensive and I'd rather that money went on making the squad better.
I can't for the life of me understand the clamour for an experienced manager. We have a structure in place and on the whole it has us punching above our weight. Good!

How is it "not strictly true"? Only 43.6% have voted for Wagner. The last time that I did maths that was 6.4% less than 50%, ergo 56.4% of posters voted for someone else, indicating that they don't want DW. Or am I missing something? 🤷🏻♂️

For one season maybe but 3 of the last 4 have been shite. I personally feel that there also has to come a time when the club have to realise what they believe in hasn't worked.

It doesn’t mean 57 per cent don’t want us to sign Haaland.

They might not all want the same, 'other' player, but they would rather have someone other than Haaland.

I personally feel that there also has to come a time when the club have to realise what they believe in hasn't worked. 3 out of the last 4 seasons we had a squad containing more than it's fair share of disinterested Prima Donnas on colossal salaries. The one where we didn't.... Worth noting too that between Webber and Bromby, the DOF/HOFO role was a problem position. That coincided with a load of shite being signed. If there is a better way then great, but I don't know what it is. I'm certainly not convinced that chopping and changing, starting again is a good use of our resources.

But you said they didn’t want Wagner and then went and voted for ridiculous options , but i’m sure they would still be happy with Wagner. Anyway i get you, potato tomato 👍🏾

That doesn't mean I'd be disappointed with Anthony Barry (or David Wagner for that matter).

Warne has apparently agreed to go to derby, that rules him out then

Woodgate would take us down, can’t believe he’s even close. There must be dozens of better candidates, although he’s probably applied for it and I presume he’s done well in the interviews.

Warne has apparently agreed to go to derby, that rules him out then I remember, many years ago, Ian Porterfield leaving Rotherham (newly promoted to 2nd div) to join Sheff Utd (newly relegated to the 4th) So their fans should be getting used to it by now.

Just saw a car going up the ring road with the numberplate F11 ADU.
Clearly our new manager is 13 year old "next Pele" failure Freddy Adu. Kids - ask your parents.

Why is it so hard to do? The bloke does not have a club at the moment so either he's interested or he isn't. If he is interested then do what it takes to get him here or if he demands too much then close the deal down, if he's not interested then move on and look for someone else. Why do we always seem to move at such a glacial pace?

Why do we always seem to move at such a glacial pace? Isn't it something to do with his departure (sacking) from Young Boys? He will be entitled to the remainder of his contract. Perhaps they didn't give it in a lump sum (Swiss football is not as affluent as the obscene wealth of the English game) and he's been still receiving his pay weekly/monthly... this is all just conjecture - I haven't read or heard anything credible to suggest there is a shred of truth in anything that I have said.

Of the two championship clubs he's managed, QPR & Birmingham, his stats read, 18 games, won 5, drawn 5, lost 8. Paying compensation for a bang average manager seems daft, but hey, he's Bromby's mate 🤔

If it is the scenario that Young Boys are paying him until the end of the season, will probably be more than we will offer him until the end of the season, so in theory may as well move on if thats the case.

It's starting to look like Hoyle doesn't have a plan, he never does. What a joke of a chairman.
