I've never seen one of our young lads make such an impressive full league debut before. He was outstanding.

Calmness personified on the ball. For a player so young on debut he was excellent.

I’m sure i heard all these same comments about Jon Russell who now seems to be unpopular.

Played very well. Liked the look of him since I saw him for the first time in the cup game against Preston.
I think we'll see him get even better if/when we decide to play through midfield. He looks like he loves being on the ball and making things happen.

Watching the game today and his performance I'm not surprised he was MOTM. I thought he was ultra composed on the ball and played the right pass every time.
Was this his first league start? Deserves to start the next game.
Between him or Helik for MOTM for me.

What I like about him the most is that unfashionably for a defender, his first thought is to clear the danger.

We’ve had lads come through the ranks and step up to first team well, but like you I can’t remember one instantly looking so comfortable to the point they were easily our best player on the day. We’ll done to the lad.

One of my big hopes of the summer window - as well as getting the right players in, obviously! - was that we'd get good loans for our most promising youngsters.
Of all the youth prospects we've got, Camara was 2nd only to Diarra - and a close second at that! - in the list of prospects I was most excited about, and I was surprised and shocked to that he'd not gone on loan anywhere.
Maybe it's not such a bad thing that he's not lining up for Harrogate this season!

I will be completely honest and say that the couple of times I saw him this season, I have felt a little short changed and not seen the hype with him.
Today completely taught me a lesson that I know absolutely nothing about football. He made it look easy, so much composure. Really liked that Kasumu Camara partnership today (for the first half, the second half was pretty guff)

As someone has already mentioned he did have a spell where discipline was an issue. Some nice touches and far more mobile than Russell.

I think we will just about be okay.
However, if next season was league 1. I would take watching promising young talented Players in league 1 who give a shit the likes of Jones, Camara, Kasumu, Rudoni etc any day than a Premier league season watching Pritchard, Kongolo, Mbenza, Dhiakaby etc.

Don't want to get ahead of myself but I'm convinced he'll be our best ever player and is already levels above Pogba.
In all seriousness, it was a fantastic full debut, deserved MOTM and the stats back that up...

He did very well - Calm composed positive and got stuck in, decent height and not scared on making a tackle - well done, excellent performance and deservedly IMO MOTM
He was helped by them not expecting him to play - a few things he did looked great but could easily be stopped by a team expecting him to start / having seen him play, his challenge is to overcome that
A plea for when he inevitably has a bad run of form in [3/6/9] months we don’t accuse him of being lazy, predictable etc - there’s a very good player in there who will inevitably have a few ups and downs as he transitions to first team football

I've always been impressed by him when I've seen him in the B team, my only concern has been his temperament, occasionally losing his head if wound up. Yesterday, he hardly put a foot wrong, I've never seen him hide from a ball & I just hope he can kick on from here but what a great full debut.

How long is his current contract? Needs tying down to a 5 year contract.

I think we'll see a similar level of impact once Diarra breaks through. He's just as talented

I thought it looked like we'd finally found someone to stand in for Hogg when I saw Kasumu play on Tuesday then along came Camara with that performance on Saturday!
They look a hell of a pairing.

Really promising display and a good partnership with kasumu. Naive at times.but that's to be expected. Let's not call him the messiah just yet and let him develop and grow into championship football.
Feeling much more positive now about midfield. Camara and Kasumu have got the dynamism and not a little skill. Russell will come good again....he's a talented footballer going through a dip. Completely different sort of player and will.come into his own in different games depending on our style when the management is sorted. Plus hogg to come back into the mix.
Be lovely if we didn't make out someone who has a really good game is the next big thing. And be nice if a couple of poor games didn't mean writing people off. Plenty show promise and falter. Some soar. Great players go though poor spells (Booth in the Wadsworth season was pretty poor).
Well done lad...Great start. Hard work starts here
