Really promising display and a good partnership with kasumu. Naive at times.but that's to be expected. Let's not call him the messiah just yet and let him develop and grow into championship football. Feeling much more positive now about midfield. Camara and Kasumu have got the dynamism and not a little skill. Russell will come good again....he's a talented footballer going through a dip. Completely different sort of player and will.come into his own in different games depending on our style when the management is sorted. Plus hogg to come back into the mix. Be lovely if we didn't make out someone who has a really good game is the next big thing. And be nice if a couple of poor games didn't mean writing people off. Plenty show promise and falter. Some soar. Great players go though poor spells (Booth in the Wadsworth season was pretty poor). Well done lad...Great start. Hard work starts here I'd like to see Rudoni at 10 with Kas and Cam behind him. Maybe that's the role Russell could play too, he can shoot from distance and would be a handful coming into the box late when the widemen have the ball.

Good shout re Rudoni....definitely part of the midfield....agree a 10 role seems to fit best. Still think he'll be the best signing we've made for some time. Russell less convinced at 10....sitting at the base of a diamond maybe if we go with that formation

Watching Etienne in midfield, it’s as if Billing never left for Bury.

I’ve only managed to see small snippets of him. What sort of player is he ? A more athletic, quicker, better passing and tackling version of Trevoh Chalobah. Is that Chalobah pre-lockdown when he was a bit of a shrinking violet, or behind closed doors when the Rons decided to play him in position?

He's the best French player, or player we've signed from France, we've ever had :-)

He's the best French player, or player we've signed from France, we've ever had :-) I watched him play a few times for the academy, the final against Burnley was one, and I think I saw him sent off twice. He has obviously learnt from that as he has kept his combative style but is now avoiding the silly stuff. He really could be the best player we have produced for a long time. I hope we continue to play a style and formation that suits him.

I'm curious as to how we got Diarra and Camara, they appeared almost together a few years ago but no more French since then? Happy to be corrected on this!

I read that these two plus Ayina were spotted pre brexit on a scouting mission.
Camara stayed on for a while in France with Angers, but joined us later.
I doubt the same could happen again because such young players would not have the necessary credentials to move across the water to work. Happy to be corrected on that point
Full marks to academy manager and Bromby at that time. Was it Emyr Humphreys ?

We were supposed to be getting 1 more at least the season after Diarra and Ayina joined, but Brexit put paid to that unfortunately

He was really good on Saturday, along with Kasumu.
If the latter hasn't got breadsticks for hamstrings I think we're in business.

No chance of any more young foreign gems with the post Brexit immigration rules. I don't understand this. Brexit was supposed to mean setting our own immigration rules. So why don't they fudge something together allowing English football clubs to poach the best European talent. Didn't Russia do something similar for Gerard Depardieu and other famous people who wanted to emigrate? And didn't they also fast-track some footballers to be able to play in the national team? I'm sure our Foreign Office have the ability to change the rules for football transfers.

Nice little highlights package terriersyndrome cheers. He's just so calm at all times. If I didn't know better I'd have thought he'd been in the first team years! Long may it continue.

He didn't play like a 19-year-old making his full debut. I hope that was him playing when he was nervous.

It does make it easier to get good players from outside Europe, but on the whole they’d have to be fairly established as they need to have played first team football I think.

Camara is taking up the spot in the squad which should rightfully belong to Josh Austerfield!

Out of contract in the summer albeit with the club having the option of a further year.
Get him a five year deal on the table today Town because he's a £15m+ player in the making.
Absolute gem.

What a player he is. Couldn't believe he was left out against Reading.
After his big money sale from us he'll be a French international.

Looks like a very special talent. Hopefully MF has learned his lesson from dropping him because he should be the first name on the team sheet.

No chance of any more young foreign gems with the post Brexit immigration rules. Slapps had a very convoluted plan, to take the attention away from DH, all along 😆
