On Camara - this is a video not of highlights of an entire season or even three or four seasons - but his contribution within a single Championship game...
Surely this ends the thread? When he does eventually leave, he's almost definitely going upwards, he's a massive massive talent already.

The fans have given the players an easy ride this season. They don't deserve the support they get & should feel lucky that nobody has been singled out after some of the disgraceful performances they've put in this season. Some of the stuff I have heard aimed at Sorba Thomas this season makes me think slightly differently

I like Scott High and I think he's under-appreciated, but for me the two aren't comparable. For me, Camara is the best player to come through our youth system in my time as a fan (started supporting in 1987). Needs handling carefully so that he develops properly - I can only assume it's that (or he has a move lined up) for him being left out because he's got so much talent. If we stay up this season & keep hold of him I'll be excited to see what he can do next season.
Another video to enjoy.

On a related note, why do left footed players always seem to look more elegant on the ball.....?

Camara has been the bright spot of the season. Not sure why he’s not been involved in the first team recently. Hopefully just resting him and easing him in gently rather than him being on his way.

Probably like Foden a few years ago. Was a huge talent but was looked after with not many starts but minutes from the bench.

Fred Robinson's left foot was a thing of beauty as he kicked opposing right wingers.

Fred Robinson's left foot was a thing of beauty as he kicked opposing right wingers. Wasn't his left foot just for standing on? Next question: who remembers Fred missing a penalty at home to Wigan in the 4-0 midweek win in 1979 a few days before that 3-1 Portsmouth home defeat on the following Saturday? Until Kindon arrived, the penalties were scored one, missed one, change penalty-taker, score one, miss one, change... Cowling succeeded Fred and Keith Hanvey scored and missed his in the same game (he missed the re-take). To everyone's surprise, including his own I suspect, Fred had scored his first penalty some games before, but he obviously lost the job once he missed. I see him stepping up at the open end, night match, Town already winning, swings his, er, right foot and I think the keeper saves easily and the crowd (definitely) laughs. Only half the crowd that turned up on the Saturday, but someone must remember it.

I don't remember him taking a pen though.

Only half the crowd that turned up on the Saturday, but someone must remember it. Unless I've completely lost my mind (which is entirely possible at the minute), Fred was a tough tackling LB. I don't remember him taking a pen though. The brief pen picture of Fred in Rob Stewart's 101 Club, page 209, says 'He was in an unusual position, a right-footed player at left-back but he made it look easy'. I'm not going to comment on the last bit of that quotation. There's nothing about his penalties in the book. The one he scored was at home to Crewe, 3-0, just a week before his miss, another night match, open end I believe, sandwiched between goals by Robins and Fletcher (and it was 3-0 at half-time). If his miss against Wigan had been anything other than a laughing matter, people might remember it, but we were 2-up at half-time and won 4-0. If it could be corroborated, I understand that it will be included on the list of penalties in the 99 Years and Counting book. I have to say, though, that the evidence is compelling. Why would Cowling have taken over the job (just a couple of matches later) if Fred hadn't missed one?

From what I’ve seen this season he’s the best CM at the club. If MF was relieved of his duties and Chicho took charge on Tuesday I’d put money on Camara starting.
His exclusion is bizarre.

It’s absolutely baffling. His emergence had been the one real positive this season. To find himself out of the squad at the expense of [insert your own scapegoat] is just bizarre.

I can only think that we’re trying to hide him away, cool interest and try and get him to sign a proper long term deal when a takeover comes. If we were 15th then fine, but given our predicament I’m not sure we have this luxury.
