Generally I'd agree, I get especially fed up of the pun threads...but its international break and there's no news, if there was it would be easy to find. At least there were some interesting recommendations in there. Any thread that descends into tedious puns should be locked and bans handed out IMO Bans? Really? |

The larger issue is there is no news. Nature, so I am told, abhors a vacuum, and social media seems to be the same. The problem for me is all the curry posts push the thread to the top of the list so I think something is happening. It doesn't take long to realise that the only thing happening is a bunch of people debating the merits of various curry restaurants. As I already have my own favourite, Prashads in Drighlington, I am unmoved.  Is that the vegetarian restaurant that featured (finished 2nd I recall) on Gordon Ramsey’s Best Restaurant many years ago? My wife and I went not long after the show aired and had a delicious meal. The staff were great too. Something tells me they’ve moved since we were there but I could easily have made that up. I think you have that spot on. They are veggie and they moved to what used to be a pub, I think. The food is really good but pricey. Very popular, or it was last time I went. I think the origin was Gujarati street food. |

As someone posted on Twitter, "Just looked on DATM for first time in ages…didn’t stay long …crap innit". One reply just about summed it up, "... it's just full of old men arguing".

Who in their right mind comes on here for actual news about HTFC? If that’s what you want, follow the club on Fb, Twitter etc, or maybe just register with them. They are quick to post what they consider to be good news, which is then posted on here by someone.

I think the one originally featuring on the Gordon Ramsey best restaurant was a really small shop I’d already been before it aired and it was fantastic. I used to like the one in Drighlinton, hadn’t been for about 5 years but when I returned 6 months ago I was really disappointed, still hear good things about it though so could just be me. |
