At end of the game last night the players came over to the fans and there was a sort of acknowledgement of the teams efforts. When MF came over 30 seconds later there a a round of boos and a bit of a chorus around ‘you are getting sacked in the morning’ and MF sort of did a quick turn and was first off the pitch. Once the fans are very clear (particularly away from home) what they think then a managers reign is pritty much over

We need someone who is a communicator and can empathise with the fans.

I said earlier in this thread that I disliked him…. But now he has gone i think it’s fair to acknowledge that he probably cared, tried and whilst he was so far off the mark it can’t have been intentional(all against a backdrop of absolute CARNAGE) …. I wish him all the Best in his future endeavours but I can’t see him managing in England again. He is Town's second shortest serving manager, so you might think so. However, the shortest serving manager was leading Doncaster Rovers just a month after he was sacked, so you never know.

I hate being right about something like this but I have been from the beginning. Thank god he is gone. Hopefully we can get someone in with the knowledge and tactical nous to stop us from going down in a spiral.

The line-up for Saturday will be interesting now. Camara straight back in? Possibly Jackson too?

I hope there's no ill will for the bloke on a personal level, as poor a Manager as he was.
Don't rush it now Town - our predicament is pretty dire, but no point exacerbating it by rushing the next appointment.
I wonder if there's been any sort of outside influence with this decision as well? Potential new owners sticking their oar in?

But DS made sense to Doncaster, local and was apparently building a good reputation and our job was a touched too big.

This makes a mockery of the January window. Granted he probably didn't have much say in the signings but I bet he had a big part in Sorba going out. Any manager coming in would have prefered he was still here

I think he should been given more time
Listen, we’ve got a great bunch of lads, and we’ve pressured all the teams we’ve played, and some have of them had some very skilful players, but we’ve always got into some really good positions and given all of them them a real scare. I felt we really had most teams on the run, but you know, listen, we had some lapses in concentration and listen , we didn't have that Japanese lad whatsisname at the back you know, the fans are the best in the country and well keep pushing and if the players dinna perform they ni gonna be part of this teem

Next club he's at he'll be giving it large how he managed one of the biggest teams in the second biggest league in the world and brought them stability.

I would expect Baldwin told DH "if you want a deal we need to be in the Championship and this bloke doesn't look up to the job". The appointment might indicate if there is an additional influence in the decision but, sadly, we don't have time. It really is last chance saloon now, but also it's a no lose situation too. Whoever comes in can have a free run at things as they are picking up a pretty grotty baton.

Odd that they've not even given the usual ''the club would like to thank both for their efforts'' at the bottom of the statement. Wonder if it was to do with him calling them (LB, DH) out on not doing interviews and if a bust-up has ensued today in the meeting. Noticed & wondered the same. Right decision, but it's noticeable how short & not very sweet the statement is.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but it's very telling that in the statement there's none of the usual "We thank him for his services" fluff. Straight to the point, he's gone, his assistant has gone, this is who the interim manager will be. He deserves nothing more tbh.

Sort of ironic that the first time he (seems to) openly criticise the players for defensive lapses, he's out on his ear.
I appreciate it's not as simple as that though.
Let's hope there's still enough time to turn things around!!!

I wonder what the financial difference is in paying off two managers against giving Corboran that same cash to buy who he wanted and some free reign ?

Apart from the incoherent interviews, utter delusion and some of the shittest football you're ever likely to see, I think he can leave with his head held high

I wonder if there's been any sort of outside influence with this decision as well? Potential new owners sticking their oar in? Agreed - on both points. No sense in there being ill will towards him. He did his best & that's all you can ask for. He was just massively out of his depth. No ill will towards him at all - same as I have none towards Schofield, or Siewert. And we have a competent caretaker in Narcis. No sense whatsoever in rushing the appointment

Told they had a meeting with coaches but not the main two??? Talk of respected championship manager out of a job at the moment? Short statement later.. your ITK cred just shot right up in my estimation, don't let it go to your head though! My previous itk shocker was when Coady signed for us. I had been in a queue to get cash out and he was there with a bloke in a suit. Just said hello, you coming to Town, he said 'yes'. I said 'welcome' he said 'cheers, be great to be playing first team regularly'. So please dont count on my ITK, its purely circumstantial again today..😉

Shows how many fucks I have given this season, in spite of being a season ticket holder. I didn't even know who his assistant's name was.
