Preston very difficult to score against.
I’d take a draw after the performance today, but this is Town, anything could happen.

Stay out of our box as much as we possibly can, at least make them score a tougher goal from distance?
Other than that just us looking to have the same number of players as them will do.
3 centre halves all in a line really isnt what its supposed to be.

It’s just getting more and more difficult to get up for the games. It’s hardly been worth the hours drive there and back this season, Chairman has lost his mojo, we appoint a rookie head coach, sack him and appoint another rookie(!), we’ve had no identity from game 1, recruitment in the summer was in the main poor, everything just smacks of things being done on the cheap. The crowd has been largely subdued for the most - partly because of what’s been served up - and despite having great seats, so many around by me are now starting to choose their matches and I can’t see many turning up on Tuesday. It doesn’t help that it’s PNE, a team that have already taken us apart once this season and yet are hardly one of the top teams in the Championship. Doubtless it’ll be on the red button so easier to switch on at 7.45 and switch off when you’ve seen enough. The great shame is we are architects of our own (current) downfall whilst the Championship is another weaker one this time around.

I am just hoping for at least a point from this game,
a win would be fantastic. I wonder what MF is thinking
now he has seen a little more of the squad and our
performances . I hope MF succeeds at the club, but
clearly he has his work cut out!
I am going for 1-1 , but something is telling me we are
in for a battering before too long , god forbid ,
as the forum will be in total meltdown.

Very tough game against a team that tend to keep it tight at the back and - bar that cup game - don’t score many either.
Fresh injection needed so I’d LIKE to see

People say the 3-5-2 works for us but not entirely sure . We don’t look defensively better with it .

I predict another crap performance with no identity, the starting 11 will have about 5 players good enough to be competitive in the championship after this summers sell everyone of value and replace with lower league dross policy. Incredible we're in this position. I am just totally apathetic currently.

Preston failed to have a shot on target yesterday, pretty sure that’ll change on Tuesday.
Unless we’re on the money with set pieces I can’t see us scoring.
Would take a draw which really doesn’t help at the moment and shows what a state the powers that be have allowed us to become.

The players we brought in look to be OK and would be a lot better if we had not lost the all of the drive on energy from last years squad. We are looking at a long hard season without any strengthening in January, because it could be touch and go if we don't. |
