I think there's an argument for keeping Boyle in the side when Pearson comes back and dropping Lees instead. I think Lees will look a better player with Pearson playing. But neither of them are as good as Helik and neither are left sided

Examiner just put their preferred line ups and Nichols is there, you’d think they would know wouldn’t you? Unless they are planning on putting Bilokapic in his shirt and hoping Noone notices Suggested best Huddersfield Town line-up with upcoming injury returns: Lee Nicholls; Matty Pearson, Michal Helik, Tom Lees; Matt Lowton, Jonathan Hogg, David Kasumu, Kaine Kesler-Hayden; Anthony Knockaert, Jack Rudoni; Jordan Rhodes. Substitutes: Nicholas Bilokapic, Will Boyle, Ollie Turton, Etienne Camara, Duane Holmes, Sorba Thomas, Florian Kamberi. No LB or left sided CB then 😖 It's an invitation for opposition to attack down their right/our left side unless/until it's sorted.

No LB or left sided CB then 😖 I think Lees played a fair bit at left centre back last season. I remember him doing so under Schofield but not Carlos. Unless both Colwill and Sarr were unavailable I don't see why he would. He was quite keen on left sided defenders being on the left and vice versa as I recall.

I don’t disagree regarding a left sided centre back but if we play 3 that may not include a left sider once Pearson is back.

Lees played on the left of Pearson during the stage of last season when we were winning games for fun. Surely it’s not that big a deal if he’s left footed.

Nicholls news/rumours confirmed might need surgery If so Town obvisouly believe in Bilo - as there has been no loan keeper yet. They will have known about this for the week, therefore if it was serious a loan keeper would have come in by now.

"I was going to start Nick Bilokapic regardless last weekend because I think he's done really well. He's got a great demeanour and a great calm manner.
"We're assessing Lee Nicholls' injury with the medical staff at the moment. If it is a bad situation we'll need to deal with it, but we support Nick and we believe in him.

It's an annoyance for Nichols because it implies he's not the obvious No. 1. It's a weird flex from the coach, as injuries are part of the job and you are paid to manage them efficiently. All very odd.

The hatred of MF is getting stupid now-
The quote above from someone says it all, a lot of clubs play their 2nd choice keepers in cups. But it suits the hatred factor of MF to say he is talking rubbish and that is somehow putting Nicholls down. I think some people have to accept the fact that he is the head coach, Wagner did not and was not ever coming back. Whatever reason why MF is the boss no one will ever know the full truth, but as supporters we have to get behind the team/ club.
Anything MF says gets twisted by some for no reason, if DW had said this no twisting would occur, we have no idea what MF could achieve given time. MF has come into Town at a shocking period of time for the club, the only objective is to kee the club in the league simple as that .

Karl Darlow looking likely Town would have signed him for tomorrow if true , do you not think ? Maybe. Maybe not. * It's one thing to give Bilokapic the shirt for a single league game - it's another entirely to give it him for the season. May be still waiting on a report re: Nicholls. * Maybe the deal is likely but hasn't (for whatever reason) been finalised yet.

Must admit, my early impression of MF wasn't great and I'd all but written him off. But he's here now and seems to be learning his lessons. Barring something spectacular (good or bad) I think this season will be too early to judge. If we go down, it's not necessarily huis fault & he may be the best candidate to lead us in Lg1 (particularly having learned from this season!). If we stay up, that doesn't necessarily mean he's the best man to take the club forward the following year. Either way, just looking for sticks to beat him with helps nobody.

Have a good percentage of fans hating the manger is essential for success and unity, you see division it in all successful sides.
