Just imagine Tino coming back for the last game of the season and slamming in a brace like he did against West Brom...

Should we presume Holmes is out for the season now?
Heard he was in a boot at the weekend, on crutches.

I'm not Holmes biggest fan but he looked lively before his knock on Saturday and we need as many fit as possible for this run in.

Surely it was just a sprain at worst I was thinking possible ligament damage. He was really stretching when he caught it. Damned unlucky. We’ll have to see what the scan shows.

Boots can just be used immediately after impact before a scan is undertaken to potentially prevent further injury but I agree it doesn’t look good.

Aye, suppose we'll get news when there is news. Wish him all the best.
Should be enough attacking options for Friday anyway.

I'm not Holmes biggest fan but he looked lively before his knock on Saturday and we need as many fit as possible for this run in. He was doing a really disciplined job against Giles and was pretty much nullifying him. Unfortunately, his blocking of a cross, with his leg really taut, resulted in the impact injury. He has been a big miss for us, because he has a good footballing intelligence and even though he doesn't always make the right decisions, he is able to manage game situations really well and is one of the few who can find pockets of space.

Rudoni is a young talented player who works hard every game. It’s just when he has a goal scoring chance he is like a rabbit in the headlights and panics. Once he scores he will be off and running. His work rate is second to none

Agreed. Just like he sticks with Rudoni every game, yet fans say he is shite.... Only some on here, the majority realise he is and should be one of the first names on the team sheet, imo. Warnock has his arm around Rudoni after every game. Think he needed to toughen up a bit and get some self-belief back. No one better than Warnock for that job. Really hard season for him so far given the circumstances around the club. I think many Town fans will recognise that he’s done pretty well and will be a much better player for the experience he’s gained through adversity this season. Played lad. Edited to say he never hides and always wants the ball. Wish that would have gone in from him at the end on Saturday. Would have been icing on an already magnificent cake.

I can only put the fact that Rudoni hasn’t scored yet for Town as being a confidence thing. I saw him score three times for AFCW in two games last season, all three very different to each other and all very confidently taken. He looked a natural finisher. Admittedly they were early on in the season when AFCW were playing well.
Google the game v Oxford last season 3-2 if you’re interested. Rudoni got two that day.

Rudoni will score soon. He’s gone so close so many times. Never stops working and grafting. He was dead on his feet towards the end on Saturday after running himself in to the ground.

Hoping Holmes is fit and saying we’ll need him doesn’t mean you want other players to not play. Hungbo gives us a great option going forward but is a liability defensively. There was one game early on, he did no tracking back and our full back was overloaded. Warnock realises we need to be solid to get out of this so he’s going to nullify the oppo from the outset and hit them on the counter. Holmes suits that set up.

Holmes and Headley both got subbed in the first half of their first game back after injury. They get rushed back too soon? Or a coincidence?

Different training regimes under a new gaffer? Different standards and practices? Players more desperate in wanting to play? Or just one of those things.

Sorry should have been clearer. I knew he was out injured but didn't remember a previous injury. He was sub for Fotheringham's last couple of games then started in Warnock's 1st game v Brum and the next v Burnley. Cov was the next game after where he got injured?

Would love to get Nicholls back in goal asap, I think Vaclik is a great shot stopper but in other areas of Goalkeeping he is not as good as LN .
