I believe a number of the medical staff have been let go? And I do wonder if they are partially to blame for both us signing unfit players which they, presumably pass. Also the number of injuries we've had and time it takes to recover that seemed pretty excessive this year.
I wouldn't be shocked as fitness and injuries aren't good and it's a standing joke now we sign players who are/ or soon will be injured
Typically for Town we had a very good coach in John Iga - the guy who was in Wagner's set up and got us hyper fit and able to gegenpress opposition sides out of the game. The number of late goals we scored was no coincidence
Iga left in 2020 (two years after Wagner) and 4 years later we're worse off
I get managers like there own guys for specialism around tactics and shape but I don't get why we change the coaches when we have good guys in role and they're not core to the tactics etc
Other businesses don't run like this. New Directors are expected to work with the existing team - they may change one or two but typically keep the majority and work with them
Iga, Clement (goalie coach) and Nacho (set pieces) are three who seemed top of their profession. Stayed loyal(all stayed under numerous different managers) and are streets ahead of what we have now - I mean Darren's Moore's team are at Port Vale and Warnock's team only get work when NW gets a new job!
Ironically Iga, Clement and Nacho are all at Norwich - Wagner is the smartest manager we had in my time watching Town and he'll have seen a lot of coaches and he hand picked these three. We literally gift wrapped him Nacho and Clement in the summer
Can you imagine Town poaching three coaches from Norwich right now - yet we binned these guys off and thought Port Vale's coaching team would be better. Crazy
