really gutted for Yuta. from memory I think it was actually our player that injured him.. Ruffels I think??.. who slid in and got the ball but in doing it took out both yuta and one of the Sunderland players.
Hope Jacksons isn't too bad. To be honest out of Yuta and Jackson, id rather it be Jackson who isn't badly injured. Think he's already become a key player for us.

Bloody hell, let’s hope Mbete and Boyle aren’t as shit as they’ve looked so far. I think they are. Boyle has never seen a footballer. Mbete obvs impressing folk at citeh but what I’ve seen he’s bloody useless. Might be decent when you can walk around spraying passes but that’s not a championship centre half

He'll do something good followed by 2 or 3 bits of poor play. He definitley looks to have something about him but he shouldn't be starting in the Championship just yet.

Rudoni works hard but he's got one assist to his name so far Apologies as I know this is mainly about injuries, but I always feel that the number of assists a player has, to be misleading in terms of how you determine their contribution, as unless someone actually sticks it in the back of the net, then your assists record can look crap, even if you're creating multiple chances every game Edit: On the topic of injuries, Jackson is very disappointing, been impressed overall with him (don't get me wrong he's a kid and a work in progress and he'll have bad games and make mistakes as he's young and learning but he's been far from our worst player this season), and Yuta is extremely disappointing, more so with it being a season ending injury.

Yeah me too, but reckon we will invest in January. The loanees not featuring will likely return and be replaced.

He is starting to grow on me is MF. As pissed off as I was last night with the result and the second half performance, the truth is we played half a side full of academy lads and we matched them in every way. I can see how he is trying to play now but the truth is we simply do not have the quality to execute it.
I just hope that some of these players that are quite clearly out of favour for one reason or another now dust down l, come back and give it their all because by god do we need it.
One thing that does concern me though is if we are going to place too much expectation on Simpson. He could be an absolute gem but he has never played at this level and only infrequently in the level below. We desperately need more firepower in January if we are to give ourselves even the slightest of chances.

100% this. I suppose those of us who remember the 70's (I do barely) or the aftermath of Rubbery, or administration into league two, or Jacko's now infamous 8 players, Wadsworth, etc can take this shit season a bit more readily than the "newer" fans. Although some of the old-timers on here seem to be shitting their pants too, I'm with you, not quite ready to slash my wrists just yet. Posted several weeks ago this was bringing back memories of 87/88 for me, just had that feeling, BUT the last 2 performances have lifted my spirits somewhat. We’re not a terrible side, we do lack goals certainly and we have too many young players all being blooded at the same time (which in the long run won’t do them any harm), it’s not a great Championship this time around and even Fotheringham is starting to win me over. These injuries are killing us but the month off for this circus of a World Cup will help our cause and we’re then only a month away from another transfer window. The game is far from being up although I accept we have a real job on our hands to stay up and the next 4 games look tough on paper. UTT At first it was just the kit that reminded me of 87-88, but now you mention it.....

On the website it says we have 29 players available until January. That includes 3 loans(all young) & 5 of our own youngsters. 10 of which are out ill or injured. That leaves us down to 13 ‘Senior’ players & 6 youngsters. Bare bones + no doubt have to blood some more youngsters. I think we all need to get behind them even more. They are going to make mistakes (hopefully not game changing), but hopefully they get experience from it & become assets to the club. UTT

Awful news about Yuta.
Is there any free agents we could sign? Can we get Crichlow back ?
Need to do something.

I was concerned about MF (and to be fair those concerns remain - but they are reducing), but the players do look hungry and willing to work for him, which was/is my main concern - that he was needlessly putting fractures in the team spirit. As for Simpson, I see him as a bit like the Sorba Thomas signing. We weren't signing him for how good he was at the time, but how good he could become. He might be good enough for the odd substitute appearance at this level (just as Sorba was towards the end of his first half-season here) but if people expect him to tear it up at this level, this season they'll most likely be disappointed.

It’s with a heavy frown that I read about Yuta’s injury knocking him out of the World Cup. One thing that he’s out for town, but utterly horrible to not play for his country on the biggest stage. What a horrid bit of luck.

Good news on Jackson at least in this afternoon’s press conference:
MF: "Young Ben Jackson has just got a scratch on his knee, he just needs a wet sponge!
"In all seriousness he'll be absolutely fine, it was just an impact injury and he'll be training with us today as planned, so his involvement won't be impacted."
Personally think he’s done well to date and pleased he’ll be ok for tomorrow

Wow what a roller coaster it must be as a prof footballer. Less than a week ago Yuta was on HTAFC celebrating and laughing about his goal against Millwall. Less than a week later he is out for the season and misses the biggest opportunity of his life to play in the World Cup. How really sad this is. The guy must be absolutely gutted and will probably take a look time to get over it. Mental Health wise.

Been recalled/sent back injured again. We'll probably just pay him until his contract ends in the summer and then he'll have to find another job. He'd probably be able to pass physiotherapy exams without studying, due to the amount of time he's been injured 😗

Easy solution. Pretend our pitch is unplayable so we get some extra time like Coventry. The league will do nothing.
