Chuffed to fuck with that. Follow it up on Saturday. Regroup & get squad injuries back. Game on we fight another day. Well done!

How did we do that! Fantastic result - If the manager can get that result from the team he had available, then maybe it is time we gave him a break and got off his back. Football is a game of strategy, skill, application and above all chance. The difference between today and the last 2 matches is just the run of the ball. We all need to remember that when we lose and all we can see is doom and gloom.

He could handle the pressure. Only when his mass and temperature are constant.

Glad to be proved wrong - I didn’t think this inexperienced team could defend that lead but defend they did. Thought Boyle, Helik and Ruffels were tremendous but everybody put in a helluva shift and that must shut up the anti MF brigade now surely ? Let’s hope so and really get behind this team now. Yes, we’re very limited but spirit, determination and organisation go a long way.

Radio Leeds was about 5 minutes in front of the red button. I watched most of injury time laughing.

35 shots against
48% pass success rate
We won?!
Set piece FC, Nicholls fantastic saves, shithousery and luck - but definitely been overdue that
Great effort after going 1 down so early, all injuries etc, lots of character - Important win that

Well that was unexpected. Sporny as they come but at this point we've got to take points any which way we can. I thought Jackson was outstanding against Adomah and Boyle & Helik very strong in the air. I don't think we're allowed to whinge at any point this season if a side time wastes against us though. We took it to another level tonight and while it's great that it helped us win, I absolute hate it whether we're handing it out or on the receiving end. It’s happened to us plenty.

I do like how vocal Boyle is Boyle's law being laid down by big Will. He could handle the pressure. at least he's constant.

Do you think we'll win enough games with 28% possession and a 47% pass completion rate? We competed and defended brilliantly tonight, but we have to be better than just defending our box and booting the ball as far as possible. It worked tonight, but I can't see it working week in, week out. We have to at least try to play. What would you have done with 10 players out? Sometimes you need to fight and scrap and that’s what they did tonight. Lots of young and inexperienced lads out there and no proper centre mid against a good team. Just enjoy the moment. I wasn't particularly criticising tonight. I fully understand the mitigating circumstances. If you read my post properly you would realise I was making the point that I don't think that performance should be the template for the rest of the season. It worked tonight, but I don't think it's the basis for a long term strategy.

I felt had we not seen that out the impact would of been significant… holding on is equally significant…. Saturday huge now.
I saw on another thread a suggestion that Nicholls was better than Pickford whilst that was utterly ridiculous…. Tonight he was back to his very best including the dark arts.
Will Boyle was a man mountain.
Most encouragingly there was a togethernesses and spirit.

I didn't know that you could win a game of Attack and Defence, but Great.... Chelsea won European cups doing it! We did a job on them tonight, how many clubs have done that to Town in the past. Well battled Town

With that team that has to be one of the best results since the Premier League. Absolutely brilliant. We might not have the quality but the effort was amazing.

It worked tonight, but I can't see it working week in, week out. We have to at least try to play. Do we have the players to do it any other way? We need that kind of grit, desire and defensive resilience week in week out if we’ve to have any hope of staying up. Beyond set pieces we don’t score goals so we may as well let the opposition have the ball, we aren’t good when we have it. It may not be enough but until we get better players this is the only way I see us accruing points. Agree its going to some time until we have some of our better players back so we will need plenty more dogged performances like that to get the points we need

Didn’t expect that tonight, excellent result considering the state we’re in with injuries. Massive game Saturday, have to follow that up with a win. Table might not look as daunting going into the World Cup with another 3 points. UTT

An immense defensive display. That’s the blueprint for the rest of the season, sit deep, defend for our lives and try to nick a goal. Great result Town. The good stuff can wait. Let’s just get some points on the board.

To be fair to Fotheringham, yes we've been lucky, but to get this lot to even be in with a shout of winning this game he must be doing something right on the training ground and in the changing room. May I disagree? Every single bugger out there gave their all. Some were better than others and we made mistakes, but that looked like a team with half a plan, who got lucky, and then defended with minimal fuss. I wasn't worried at all in the second half. Job done. Three points.

We’ve got to go out and play not to do so would be undignified and cowardly but as already stated by Mooooy we have to put everything in die for the cause what we used to call the Terrier spirit and give them credit we say that tonight

No one is seriously suggesting we play like that every game.

He’s not a ball playing centre half but Boyle was rock solid tonight . About time we had a central defender who can hold his own against a big physical striker.
If Southgate was watching this, I hope he decides to make a shock World Cup squad selection. Nicholls does not deserve to be at the bottom of the league.
Pound for pound , this result is up there with Chelsea and Man City away in the PL.
Most of the team out and we do this. Amazing, All criticism of MF should cease now because he injected some spirit into this depleted team.
