What would you have done with 10 players out? Sometimes you need to fight and scrap and that’s what they did tonight. Lots of young and inexperienced lads out there and no proper centre mid against a good team. Just enjoy the moment. I wasn't particularly criticising tonight. I fully understand the mitigating circumstances. If you read my post properly you would realise I was making the point that I don't think that performance should be the template for the rest of the season. It worked tonight, but I don't think it's the basis for a long term strategy. Spot on. We got a lot of luck tonight - 30+ shots against, 50% pass rate… you lose 9 or more out of 10. Take it tonight with team we had out, going 1 down so early etc Character, confidence boosting |

The kid from Villa is still a complete liability. Thank fuck we have our own better version in Spencer who was only taken off due to being close to a second yellow.
We'd have done well to draw tonight, but Ruffels had the game of his life and Boyle, Helick and Nicholls were fantastic after an awful first five mins.
Sorba looks like he's getting back to form ready for the World Cup.

Do we have the players to do it any other way? We need that kind of grit, desire and defensive resilience week in week out if we’ve to have any hope of staying up. Beyond set pieces we don’t score goals so we may as well let the opposition have the ball, we aren’t good when we have it. It may not be enough but until we get better players this is the only way I see us accruing points. Agree its going to some time until we have some of our better players back so we will need plenty more dogged performances like that to get the points we need Three points on Saturday then we have a month to bring some bodies back into the squad. |

What a win and gives us some hope now
Will Boyle is not a centre back to bring in to play fancy football however when the chips are down he's exactly what we need in the fight. Boyle and helik outstanding

Looked like a L1 side away at a Prem side mostly, but fucks given are zero. Get in! You're usually spot on but that is harsh. The qpr attack looked goosed from about 65 and we just grew God being back between the sticks helped. He'd have saved that goal vs Blackburn if he was in the mindset tonight. We got a win with half a team out. Enjoy |

Absolute heroes tonight. Felt a bit like a lower league side doing a smash and grab but bloody superb. Perfect sort of game for Boyle. No possession or time on the ball to give it away just one job...head everything including aeroplanes out of the box

I actually said to a mate after about 65 that we were gonna win as it just seemed like one of those nights. But they had 36 shots and fluffed their lines in front of goal numerous times! I can enjoy the win but also acknowledge that usually we don't draw that nevermind win. Like I said, get in. |

If we hold on to him Nichols will keep us up he’s been the best signing since we dropped out of the prem and again some class saves tonight
They actually played as a team ran for each other lots of positives on the attitude and application of tactics from let’s face it some players that are arguably full time pro standards that’s the shape of things at the moment a squad devoid of quality and for various reasons some of the better players unavailable
So in the scheme of things that was a performance of biblical proportions 😂👍

I've seen loads of Town teams in the 3rd division (or lower) who had more quality than the team who were out there tonight...
...but they were well organised and put in a right shift & sometimes that's better than quality.
I struggle to see how anyone could be optimistic about avoiding relegation but TBF to them we look to be giving it a right go.
