I know Russell didn't start the season well.
But on his day he is a brilliant player. Was one of the reasons we finished the season well.
Unless he is injured or ill, he should definitely be given a 2nd chance tonight.

Surely you were aware how many are unavailable? I’m completely aware we are missing multiple players who probably aren’t cut out for this level too yes. |

Exactly rockwall, not a lot the manager can do, the team picked on Saturday coped well and only lost narrowly, even a prem squad can only have 25 squad, so with so many injuries what alternatives? OK money ain't been spent, we all knew it wouldn't be at end of the day. |

That team is f***ed. The town app is suggesting 4231 with Diarra and Jackson in DM roles. I hope to god that’s not true. If they get over run it could destroy what confidence they have. The lack of Russell is bemusing. Personally I’d go with 541 and as daft as it may sound I’d leave Sorba up front on his own rather than Ward who I’d play LM. Park the bus 10 men behind the ball and try hit on break with pace of Sorba

Dean has to shoulder a lot of the blame - this is a team of kids - yes we have injuries but Jesus.
Mahoney. Why have we signed him ?
Russell - clearly been offered a league one deal.

He signed his contract had a half good season. Needs to show more consistently. If he doesn’t want to play pay him out or let him go.
We need to show that there is a good pathway to regular football at HTFC but only if you want it. Tired of too much player power. It’s what screwed us in the EPL.
It’s not that long ago Accrington didn’t want him

I'm still thinking about the lineup. We've had bad injury crises 2 out of the 3 other seasons since getting relegated, but even at the worst points, we were able to put some reasonably 'strong on paper' sides out there, even though I remember the performances were clearly lacking key individuals at the time. Even at the height of the injury crisis in Carlos' first season, we still had Toffolo, O'Brien, Sarr, Bacuna fit, and a miles stronger bench. The last midweek London away day I went to, Charlton under the Cowleys, I remember there being a huge injury crisis and thinking we'd get turned over.
