I see the Dutch scored twice late on.
Didn't watch the game, so can't comment on whether they got lucky, or deserved it anyway.
Hoping the Wales v USA will be a decent game tonight. Be interesting to see the temp for the 10PM k/o time...

It was fairly dull from what I saw until the last 10.
Come on Yanks!

It was a typical group game between the two best teams. Neither seemed to want to risk losing by over committing in attack.

Neither team should trouble the quarter finals

Netherlands-Senegal started quite brightly but after a while they more or less cancelled each other out. Both teams looked decent but no more. The Senegal goalie was late to his attempted punch for the first goal, and should have done better than to parry the ball for the second, which was almost the last kick of the match.

The USA manager, Greg Berhalter, he was on trial at Town one time but signed for Palace instead, think when Horton was manager.

I admire the spirit within the Wales squad. Reminds me of the DW years with us.
Can’t wait to watch Bale.

Did we once come close to signing the USA manager in his playing days? That name rings a bell and I'm sure we were linked

The yanks want to reign in the wild tackles or they'll be down to 10 men.

Wales are very poor. Their midfield seems to have vanished. They're also about two yards off of the pace.

Hate watching Wales. They're always garbage but somehow come away with wins.
Ukraine completely battered them, travesty that they didn't make it

The yanks want to reign in the wild tackles or they'll be down to 10 men. I don't want to appear a pedantic dick or anything but it's actually 'rein in'. To 'reign' is to rule.

Has Bale completed a pass yet? Saw him live in Madrid about 5 years ago. Came on as sub. Gave the ball away 8 times from his 9 touches. The home crowd ruined him
