Not sure why. Hes been on best behaviour this time. Yep. Someone clearly had an axe to grind. Hi all, To clarify, no axe to grind, and as a general comment on this we have rules in place that preceded Keith, Overton and myself about lifetime bans. Lee and Nick for a start were given these bans for whatever reasons, I’m not overly familiar with why for Lee, but Nick I know was for repeated illiterate and incomprehensible posts that annoyed everyone. Hthp was posting useful info, no fuss, I agree. However, bans are bans and should be respected. What are the rules for if we are to chop and change them every two minutes though? Personally I’m not in favour of lifetime bans unless it’s serious issues that has gone and and as such I won’t comment on why Lee was banned before. This is not an open invite to debate on that folks. I will raise this current guise (and I know he has others which I’ve monitored) with the other two Admins. It’s extremely difficult to track everyone, we aren’t IT wizards and are just trying to keep the forum from descending into a cesspit, so bear with us, please.

Pre-Sheffield United (home), I was in Starbucks with a friend, discussing our chances of staying up and the expectation that the Blunts would be after maximum points in the run-in. There was a couple on the other side of the table who kept chipping in as we discussed Warnock, his style and approach, and also what our chances were. Finally they stood up, packed their laptops away and, just before leaving, asked us who our Player of the Year would be; I replied "Probably Tom Lees Helik (edited now that I remember correctly!) - it would have to be a defender for sure". The chap replied, "Jack Rudoni". I looked at him and asked, "Are you related?" and the woman replied, "His father." Well, we chatted for a little longer, about how stressed he was when he couldn't score, how tough it was under Buzz and how much he enjoyed working under NW and the reciprocated admiration by the manager. I added that up until recently he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo but that he never hides and is a tireless worker, all of which his father agreed with. And then they went.
JR loves it here, and now that he has his feet well and truly under the table - and having proved his worth - I am sure that, as others have said, he'll go on to be a future Town star. Which is one in the eye for me because, I'll admit, I initially doubted his ability.

He was my player of the season. Having come from a team relegated to league 2 this could have been a signing that worked out or he could have been a disaster . But to play every game, give 100% in all of them and come up with a couple of important assists and goals towards the end of the season. And seems a genuinely nice you man.

Only joking, I’ve definitely grown to admire Rudoni. You can just tell that having better players around him will help grow his game to the next level.

I think Rudoni will be excellent for us next year. Listening to Steve chicken on his podcast, they made a good point about stepping up a level and playing in a struggling team in unfamiliar roles was bloody hard work. But he never hid, and had usually worked out how to play the role he was given by half time.

We might have signed him from a league 2 club but he HS a full season playing in league 1, and scored quite a few goals.

I probably caught him off guard, but he still in a very politely manner said hello back. Hopefully, I didn't freak him out too much 😃

Which is how I like it to be honest. Nowt worse than some weirdo forcing conversation on you at 7.30 am..

People are just people and I've found people equally friendly in Yorkshire, London and anywhere else. However, my wife finds the friendliness to be much more when we've gone north, and my stepdaughter (who has lived in 1 town and 2 cities in the Midlands) recently moved to Leeds and she's said he same, so who knows?

Back on thread....it has been interesting seeing posts on this thread. As one who bigger up Bacuna a while back, we don't all have a great record on assessing players.
It should be noted that, in a single season, Jack Rudoni has become a bit of a star.
Kept his head down, worked hard, kept going. Well done lad!!
