He's not done owt since we let him go though tbf Done a bell of a lot more than Sobhi. Don't get me wrong, that PL season ruined his career. When we signed him, he was as good as anything in Champ. In his head, he was ready to have a proper crack at PL. However, that first season showed him that he didn't quite have that extra pace and acceleration that you need at that level. Hence when he ended up back in Champ, he was nowhere near as good again as his desire to get back to top table was gone. Always had a great attitude though and worked hard for the team. Doing ok at Reading now He’d already played in the PL for Palace and Hull by the time we got him, and then come back to the Champ for three seasons.

True, but he was much younger then and barely played in either spell. Town was his only ever place where he was given a consistent run.

Spot on true- every town fan I knew liked the Ince signing- he was ever present in the team that stayed up in our first PL season ,never stopped giving everything ,never got injured, bought for 3 million and sold for ten million We replaced him with Mbenza and Diakoby because we could see that Ince at PL level lacked that extra bit of pace. Rudoni will be a great signing for us- he was the most creative player on the pitch on Sunday and to say he has a poor first touch is nonsense. I’m with Porro and the gang on Rudoni

Not the Top 20 podcast is always a good listen. They got some TV time on Sky Sports tonight on their 21 players under 21 years old feature. Rudoni featured for second year in a row.

Thought he'd had more than 3 assists, they didn't include his knock down for Ruffels first at QPR and I thought he'd done similar in another game

Ok, thanks mate. Just listened to intro and they said they selected players born on 1st Jan 2001 or after.

Warnock certainly seems to fancy him.
"I think Rudoni has got everything. I'd have him anywhere. He's a lovely lad as well."

He's 21 years old, had 4 managers this season, played in different positions in different formations and is surrounded by some very average players. FFS - give the lad a break. He's a good player !

Rudoni will be a good signing for me.Liked Ince too,did we only pay £3 million for him? As far as remember , we payed about £10m for him and sold him for about the same. Other than Grant, just about the only player we bought during our PL seasons who we didnt lose a shit load of money on.

I think we’ve been using him in the wrong position or the wrong role, although I get that needs must. From his highlights reel before he signed, he seemed to score a few ghosting onto the end of crosses or arriving onto passes around the edge of the box.
We’ve been playing him out wide and asking him to dribble past people. He’s pretty slow and whilst he’s got a trick he doesn’t have the acceleration to buy him that half a yard often enough, so defenders are all over him.
I think he should be playing a Lampard or Scholes esque role as an advanced midfielder, linking the play but doing a lot of work off the ball to get himself into goal scoring positions. Then we’d get more end product.
I think Warnock will take his performances up a level.

Nobody we bought once IN premier league were then sold on for a profit bar Grant and Ince . That really was 2 years of stupidity on whoever was in charge of transfers in. We spent £56.75 in year one and £50.70in year 2. £13 on 1st year down ( mainly Mbenza) . 121.15 million spent over 4 years regaining . £78.79 million over same 4 . A loss of £43 ish million wow. The biggest failure quite simply the person who held responsibility for player purchase. I looked through the list some absolute shockers. Who was in charge of player purchases during the PL .

Yes good of Neil to finally confirm they’re talking out of their arses, just need his view on Ince now and we can put that one to bed too. Consider yourselves educated PS.. anyone still prepared to argue that Mbenza, Diabolical or Sobhi are better than Ince…or Pritchard for that matter? I’ll wait

I am sure there is a thread but can’t find it.
Unbelievably happy for Jack today it’s been some time coming and in the last few games he has really stepped up excellent in all games and to get his goal today, the lad is going to be a top player fair play to LB on him just needed time to settle and needs to be playing in the middle.
Well done Jack.
