Rhodes if you look throughout his career, he has always been far better bouncing off a partner. Partners like Novak and gestede allowed Rhodes to focus on doing what he does best, socring goals. Rhodes is very clever at finding space in the box, this is why i think the raw powerfulness of Simpson with the cleverness of Rhodes could cause big problem for teams .

I agree that Barnes would be an improvement on what we have, I guess it depends on how much business we are looking at doing.
If we were bringing in 1 forward player I’d go for someone other than Barnes - someone who could give us another dimension. If we are looking at 2-3 players to freshen up the team he could be a real asset.

Despite his age, Barnes would be a terrific signing for any club in our position. Just the sort of annoying shithouse we need in a relegation battle. There might actually be some mileage in this. Burnley are pretty much nailed on for promotion and I'm fairly sure he won't be in their plans next season. His next deal is likely to be his last before retirement.

DePoitre could have done a job for us I reckon, vastly underrated imo. FFS. Season one he was immense. Terrorised defenders, including some at the very top of English football. Season two he was a fucking disgrace. Hard to recall such a decline. Didn't score a single goal. But in reality he scored 1 goal for every 10 games for us and stole a wage season 2. I'm still angry at him. |

Chicho in the Man City away end last night, are we eyeing up someone from city? What, from the first team!? Come on now. We can dream, but we I very much doubt we’d get anywhere near Rico Lewis or Cole Palmer. I’m not sure we would need Lewis if the Lowton rumours are correct and Palmer would have even PL teams on alert, let alone all of the champ; yes he’s been used sparingly in the PL, but he’s been on the bench all season. He even played in six CL games. |

He even played in six CL games. Chico was at Leeds yesterday, probs watch haaland or maybe a loan move for that Foden kid , heard he is half decent.
There were a couple on the leeds bench, who might be comming up for loan, like the centre mid who came on may well have been having a look.

Would be a great singing for us, we have been linked with him before around this time last year. He would add that pace and athletisim to the midfield. Can play out wide or in the central area, so would be a very useful signing.

Ashley Barnes starting for Burnley tonight I wouldn't read too much into that, remember apparently we want rid of holmes, rhodes and ward yet they have been playing. Added to this is KKH- apparently he is going back, yet started the last few games .
When Burnley sign who they want i recon Barnes will be allowed to go.
