The O'Brien rejecting us has to be utter bollocks - the deal with Blackburn has a £10m purchase clause if they get promoted - how would that work with us? £10m if we stay up - like we'd pay that. Wages too? Nah - not a chance we'd have been able to put a comparative offer together. it is bollocks full stop

So apart from having an experienced keeper, what else will change, because we were shite when Nicholls was in the nets too. All the stuff that already changed during the World Cup break, that resulted in us winning 2 out of 3 games since Christmas until Nicholls was injured and we went on to win 0 out of 3 ?

I mean rate him or not, we've technically lost our most creative player. Tino? Edit: sorry I’d honestly forgotten about Thomas. I do rate him but he’s not been contributing and doesn’t look happy to be here. With that in mind I think the loan move was for the best. You’re right though we will need some creativity out of Hungbo, Knockaert and the younger players. Personally hopeful that Pat Jones will play a part. Worryingly though, he still sits at the top of the assist charts. It just goes to show that whilst his form has been poor, nobody else has stepped up and he somehow remains our most creative spark.

Even by our low standards, that was a shite window. We went into it needing a goal threat, some creativity and a left back. We came out of it with a new goalie and a smattering of aging squad players. the answer to that will come in the next few weeks then it will become clearer till then utt

I had the faint hope we would address the obvious squad weaknesses and give ourselves a fighting chance. We have lost sorba on LOAN.... and got a load of one paced OAPs.... im more fearful for us now than before the window. On a plus side, Waghorn looked decent at Hull, Hungbo looks decent as well and the new goalie should be good enough. We haven't addressed the areas we should have done and that's surely on Bromby, not the GOAT fozza. He's out of a job in the summer either way, even if he keeps us up, it needs a fresh start, so he will have to lead another team out at the San siro. Where do you think we are weak now? Sorba, I think, is better strutting about somewhere else this season. Shame but I feel it is more him than the club.

No concerns with that. Vaclík as a No.1 is brilliant.

I think it's true, despite him being well down on last season Jeez, what does that tell us about the state of the team this season? That we're third bottom rather than in the play offs.

He does but probably as others have said because he takes all our set pieces, let’s see, it looks like a gamble but if he wanted a move it’s no good him being around the team miserable and unmotivated.

All the stuff that already changed during the World Cup break, that resulted in us winning 2 out of 3 games since Christmas until Nicholls was injured and we went on to win 0 out of 3 ? We've played 8 games since the world cup break. With Nicholls in goal we've won 2, lost 3. With Bilo in goal we've drawn 1, lost 2. The keepers aren't the problem. It's the negative tactics & bizarre substitutions that are killing us. Although I think bringing in an experienced keeper was a must because throwing an inexperienced keeper into a relegation battle is wrong. Those two wins are just papering over the cracks, Preston couldn't buy a win at home & Rotherham were really poor on the road.

I’m not saying it’s rosey, i can’t actually imagine how the season could have been handled any worse. My point is, i honestly think we have more chance of staying up than going down. IF that happens, well it could all work out rather well? I bet the bookies would love you as a punter! I’d happily share my profit and loss.

Two positives from yesterday.
We've brought in a quality, experienced keeper, which was a must.
Cardiff lost so we're just 3 points behind with two games in hand.

If Knockaert had signed for any other Championship club I can guarantee that 95% of our fanbase would be calling it a shambles that we weren't in for him 😂

Luton have shown how its done
Had a great play off season last year like us. Backed their manager and enhanced the squad and kept all the big hitters. Unfortunately they lost Nathan Jones to the saints, but replaced him with the highly rated Rob Edwards. A manager who proved very successful with forest Green, before getting the sack at Watford. For what it's worth everyone gets sacked at Watford.
They are in 4th place competing again whilst we are staring down the barrel of league one football.
The people running our club need to have a really good look at themself. We replaced a top coach in Carlos Corberan for brombys friend Danny Schofield, he was then rightly sacked IMO When we sacked Schofield it was clear and obvious to everyone that we needed stability with a experienced manager and they appointed a bloke from Germany out of work, with no experience as a head coach or experience managing in England let alone the championship.
The Problem starts from the top its that simple.
Make no mistake Bromby has a massive say in everything surrounding Htafc and I mean everything.

That's presuming hungbo us any good, if not then, LB, 10, LW, RW and Striker.

Us keep moaning about won’t make it happen any quicker. Best way is to support the players and try to stay up then hopefully get a better pair of hands on the tiller.

Is there any players out of contract we could pick up Saddens me to read this post. Hope the club are happy at looking at juggernauts like Luton move into fourth place without having to make any serious additions this month. Painful where we find ourselves. I do hope we have enough to avoid relegation just think we needed to stiffen a key area (Midfield) i felt disappointed with our failure to do anything on our outfield players given we were trying to add. Going to be a hard slog for us UTT.

Almost as pointless as the "why aren't we competing with Hull for Toffolo" chatter...given it was Anderlecht he was in early talks with, and Forest yesterday BLOCKED him from leaving to anyone. Will be interesting to see if they get in to the registered PL squad, or if they're just going to spend the next six months training with no hope of playing. I think Forest have signed either 4 or 5 players this January who would need to be named in the squad to be allowed to play, and nobody who was in the initial PL squad has left?!

I just can’t get my head around the way in which Hoyles gone about the last 9 months.
2 atrocious managerial appointments. Cutting the wage bill. A scatter gun of youth signings and possibles. No plan, no structure, no balance, no idea. A clear attempt at doing it as cheaply as possible.
Then, come January after let’s be honest, a fucking abysmal season so far, we go spend strong money on loans and perms on experience on good wages yet still no plan, structure, no structure, no balance and still no idea.
Why the hell didn’t we just spend more wisely in the summer? It’s complete self destruction and self sabotage by ourselves. All we had to do was do our business early, sensibly and to a plan in the summer and we would be absolutely no where near this position.
I said before January that the best signing we could make in the transfer window was a manager, sadly we haven’t and I think we are staring down the barrel. We look all over the place off the field, It looks like panic stations, a guess who game being played by Bromby who looks to have completely lost his way.
Nothing I hear coming out of town is positive and all I see is chaos, I really hope we stay up, it’s paramount for the future of the club but I’m deeply concerned. God help the season ticket sales for next season.

I told the wife that Town had signed Nakamba. She was getting all excited thinking she'd be able to take her Zimbabwean flag to matches.........Should have seen the look she gave me when she eventually found out it was Luton Town
