I was registered under the same name back on the old Rivals site. I used to log on and post from work, then I was made redundant in early September ’04. Luckily I blagged my way into University, but didn’t register on the new ProBoards version til the December. I still haven’t managed 2,000 posts in 15 years, but I do read the site pretty often.

How did someone not stop Nick posting 32 THOUSAND posts of pure waffle? One of the Admins actually reset his post count to zero when he had 30-odd thousand already in the bank. That 32k that he racked up before his ban was his second go! Imagine that, 70,000 individual posts of utter shite! His ban was the single best thing to happen on here in 20 years. Cockney lad misses him though 😉 |

The poster I miss most is Pixie.
For those unaware of his work, he 'knew' that the vapour trails planes leave behind are actually mind controlling drugs that 'they' spread onto the population.
And the twin Towers weren't hit by planes at all... that was computer generated onto the footage...they were brought down by two nuclear explosions the US government had planted at the foot of each tower.
He was getting on a bit so I presume hes gone to that conspiracy theory in the sky.. or his carers have finally confiscated his computer.

Thinking of Scoffa, I got to thinking of Town fans who've been on TV quiz shows. Scoffa was on The Weakest Link, there used to be footage of that online but I can't find it. Snow was on Pointless for two days running with his lovely daughter. And Oti once claimed to have been on 15 to 1, a claim I honestly don't doubt for one minute. As we try to recover from the excess of Christmas and the jubilation of a rare three points at Deepdale, I thought I would share with you some interesting facts as we approach a monumental marker in DATMs rich history. The current total post count stands at 2,975,304 (including this one). This means that some lucky person is going to make DATM history by making the three millionth post. The site generates about 300 posts a day so it will be some time in the New Year. The first post made by the site creator and 1st member - Geoff, geoffhudds - was made on the 4th of December 2007. You will be pleased to know, that although he hasn't posted much in the last 15 years, Geoff still is an active member and recently signed on this month. The second ever member was ossett1terrier another non prolific poster, having managed just 160, but I am pleased to say is also a frequent visitor. In the bronze medal place is SN0W who signed up just 42 minutes after Geoff - still a top contributor about to hit the 20,000 post mark. Today there are 16,519 registered members, although 572 have an account but have never logged on or posted, which means active members stand at 15,947. Between us we have started 102,560 Threads....no wonder the admins get touchy about meaningless thread creation. I haven't checked, but I suspect a lot of them are still there for you to go back and bump one day. The top three posters are Chips Longhorn - 58,201 ( and contrary to popular belief is not banned) Captainslapper - 38,289 Porrohman - 37,704 I will do my best to identify the lucky poster, you can consider yourself a GTF equivalent in Town history.
