A good Christmas period. Back to back wins. Confidence breeds confidence.

Solid and sensible performance, bit ragged at the end but game was won.
Only disappointment was I was hoping to see Thomas running them ragged for half an hour whereas in fact all he did was give the ball away.
Great to move up 2 places, see ourselves in touch now at last albeit a difficult game against Luton coming up.

Surely we don’t sell any key players now - we’ve given ourselves a fighting chance here

I wouldn’t say superb performance but certainly signs of some cohesion now. That’s probably the best of 90 minutes we’ve played although thought we sat back a bit too much. An improvement again on PNE and I don’t think we can underestimate the impact Hoggy coming back has had. Something to build on again.

Haven't been able to make it today so can't comment on the performance, but those 3 points are huge - we looked nailed on to finish bottom but things can very quickly change.
Clearly we still have lots to do so survive but we've given ourselves a chance. Simply not sitting bottom of the pile any more should do our confidence the world of good.

You are hard to please On what I’ve seen so far this season that was superb you need to lower expectations given these young pros

Really good positive result tonight. Some standout performances tonight. KHH, Rudoni, Kasumu (all signings this year), solid performance from Lees, Boyle & Helik too. Credit where credit is due. MF got his team selection right tonight. Catch 22, on that performance it's hard to think were a bottom 3 side, but 2 wins on the bounce now. But, we all know one swallow doesn't make a summer. But onwards and upwards. UTT Strange that you give due credit to 6 players but not to the lad that did more than any othe to win us that game. MoM Holmes.

Good performance although opposition look like they could be yo-yoing back to L1. Results needed against these teams near the bottom over the next few games and recent results and performances (sometimes just for part of the match) are encouraging. 3 points against in-form Luton would be a statement though and the seemingly ridiculous suggestions of a play-off position may not seem as mad as we thought. No signs from Thomas, Simpson or Mahoney that they deserve to start though.

The biggest positive tonight was seeing an opposition who looked absolutely useless and hurtling towards the foot of the table. They've won one of their last 11 and you could see why. Id like to think that's atleast one side we're finishing above

Crazy to see that the points gap between 2nd and 3rd spots is the same as the gap between us and the playoffs 😯

Decent performance, as I predicted we are better than them. We just need to be better that two other teams now.

I enjoyed that performance.... and for once felt confident in the last 10 minutes. Our manager is working magic considering the overall curcunstances he inherited. Keep it up you Terriers!

Well we made it to the January transfer window and credit to mark Fotheringham and the players, it's not pretty to watch sometimes but we are finally off the bottom and we have given ourselves a chance. If we sell Holmes and Rhodes now I don't think dean Hoyle would ever show his face in Huddersfield again. They have both been huge players for us in the last 2 games. How ironic that they were both here 8/9 years ago and are both spearheading towns survival challenge. We are far more solid under fortheringham than we were and that's a credit to him. Hopefully dean realises that survival is very much still on and invests in some fresh blood to help us over the line! Considering he only owns 25% of us it’ll be pretty amazing if he does.

Very controlled performance, everyone played their part, except Nicholls (only 'cos he had nothing to do).
Holmes, Rudoni & Kasumu were the picks for me but it was good to feel comfortable in a game again. Defence did well but not put under too much pressure.
Very tough game coming up but some pressure is off with 6 points in the bag over crimbo, so a draw would not be a disaster.
Well done MF, you deserve some praise, too, it's been tough but let's hope this is the start of our recovery.

Not strange, just accidentally missed him off my list. I thought Holmes was v.decent actually. I could have listed all the starting 11 to be honest. But, I thought those 3, from my opinion were our top performers on the night. KHH - defensively solid, involved in a lot of our play, got up and down really well, looked dangerous. Kasumu - I thought was everywhere, broke up play, harried and hustled the opposition, covered a lot. Rudoni - Creative, I thought was our most dangerous player in the first half. Alongside KHH. I'd also be extremely annoyed if we are still trying to sell him, I think he's been critical at times for us this season. And a shout out to our central 3. Who kept a clean sheet. Other than the odd half chance, stifled their attackers really well. But, we all know that's also down to a solid team performance.

Which for me, is a big positive. In reference to my original post. I just missed him off my list, not on purpose. But, we can critique a post all day if we wish to. I am not criticizing Holmes performance in any stretch of the imagination. I thought he was very good. I like Holmes a lot. I don't think that was his best performance in a town shirt though. Whereas, I thought it was KHH, DK, JR best performances. Holmes looked confident tonight. He's a pivotal part of our first 11 when he's on it.

That Holmes goal will be remembered for a long time. You just don't save those off the inside of the post.
I remember Harry Kane scoring in off each post in the same game at the JS.

Interesting to see what we do with Holmes/Rhodes. The former's overall quality is often debated but clearly these two are crucial given our current squad depth.
Vital that we don't prioritise cost cutting ahead of survival chances.

We're going to need everyone who can win us a game.

It's nice to be debating about who should have the most credit for a comfortable win for a change. I can see merit in your pen pictures of the games played by the three you highlight. (But still, Holmes MoM)
