I’ve not been able to watch either of the last two games, I realise it’s clearly my fault that we had a poor run of form! If we lose on New Years Day then I know it’s definitely me!!
Great to be off bottom and I think we will be above Rotherham soon. Then and Wigan will probably be the bottom 2 so hope we can get some momentum and someone else takes that third spot. If we stay in the Championship we will have a far better chance of selling the club to a half decent owner

How nice it is to come on here after another win. Another very good performance last night. Thomas may be warming the bench for a while as I thought KKh was excellent. A tough game on Sunday but feels good going into it on the back of two wins. Negative ? Oggy's commentary is fucking awful - get shut Radio Leeds. I couldn't make the game so watched on Sky's red button. You should have heard the commentator on there! Dont think he knew a single town player except Rhodes and Hogg.. just a continual guess at who had the ball. Helik, Lees and Boyle were totally interchangeable .. dont think he got it right all night! Joe RawsonThe Red Button commentaries are so consistently poor that Sky would be better off providing the footage with stadium noise only in my opinion. It's just a guy sat remotely watching the same stream as the rest of us layering in some noise over the top for the sake of it.

If he was being sold then he wouldn't have even been in the squad. It's very rare for our lone striker to play 90 mins, especially when he and Ward are both 32 years old! Not necessarily, he’s been touted out to the other clubs already by the club along with Ward and Holmes. Holmes kisses the badge in front of the south stand yesterday which was a bit of a fuck you. It has the potential to turn very sour from players and fans alike, those being touted out don’t want moves, Rhodes and Holmes I know for certain are extremely settled and love the club - let’s hope that the man who supposedly cares for the club does the right thing because the price of two lads who are committed and determined to drag us out of this is worth more than 10k a week off the books to us all.

I noticed that. Kissing the badge can be a cliché but I loved it. It's rare that you'll find a player who plays for the badge but in his case I think we have one. Even when he plays badly his effort never drops below giving it his all. Pretty certain now that he's leaving. I'll be sad to see him go, and to be perfectly honest I think selling him is a mistake.

That's fair enough, but there is a difference between "being sold" in the original post and "touted out". Basically I don't think anyone should look too much into him being subbed off last night!

I can imagine we are desperate to cash in on anyone before the club is sold, it’s like a Mike Ashley closing down sale.

Have I missed something? Where has this belief Holmes and Rhodes are leaving come from?

He made me laugh last night. Holmes in the first half completely missed a volley or half volley on the edge of the box, but retrieved the ball and passed it. Oggy’s description of it was - “Holmes brings that down beautifully and passes it to Rudoni” 😂

Have I missed something? Where has this belief Holmes and Rhodes are leaving come from? Reported by a few ‘in the know’ on here that they were being touted out for potential January sale (Ward as well). I’d guess the thinking is that if they’re not scoring/living up to last years potential, they are saleable assets which will allow us to free up funds to bring in replacements? Maybe just the prospect of being moved on has given them the kick up the ‘arris they needed for an upturn in form?

Surprised the directors can fit in the boardroom for their meetings when its so full of 'in the know' fans.

Have I missed something? Where has this belief Holmes and Rhodes are leaving come from? High earners, can't afford to be kept on which is a worry if that is true.

Great and very important win. Fotheringham got his tactics spot on in my opinion. I also don't get the 2 shit sides comment, I actually thought we played and controlled the game very well, Rotherham were poor, but partly down to us. Agree, its not necessarily about who you play its when you play them, Rotherham had a reasonable start to the season but have now hit a terrible run of form, much better to play any team when they're on a downer if you ask me.

I mean actual facts, not a Maynard or Ben post? I don’t know anything about the running of the club so it may well be true but just wondered how you know this.

Unless they've been given a pay rise in the meantime then wont our expected outgoings have been budgeted for at the start of the campaign? If fulfilling it was going to be an issue ( and Hoyles confirmed he'll continue to cover the ongoing losses ) then I doubt we'd have brought in helik at £1.3m just before the season started. Doesnt mean we arent going to trade players this window.. Russell is obviously one that will probably leave and for a fee... Mbete will probably return to Man City... wouldn't be that surprised if Ward moved on if we have another striker lined up. But moving on two of this seasons better performers to save a relatively small amount of money in wages.. which will include having to pay them a large proportion of their remaining contract as AFAIK neither has put in a transfer request... seems extremely unlikely surely! Doesnt make any sense in terms of football or business.

We only sold 3 players this summer whom were all bought buy the same dodgy geezer, he even knew the manager was for sale, yet no on here knew a thing, now half the players are for sale?......I suspect fake news.

Nobody has mentioned whose contracts are up this summer, but as with all clubs, they are in a dilemma - cash in on your assets before they go on a free, or offer a new contract, then having current players on a higher wage. Whether it's Jordan Rhodesor Kian Harrat, for example. If one of them is in this situation, what options do the club have?

Pretty sure Rhodes has another season on his deal after this one. certain it was 3 years. At the age hes at, Id be very surprised if this isnt his last club

Holmes' goal was the first instance this season when a shot/header has hit the woodwork and actually gone in. Don't think it happened once last season either. Bizarre. He had at least 3 that hit the post and go in during the pregame shooting practice. I said to my daughter at the time 'I hope that's a good sign of what's to come in the game!'

But Jon Stead (similar career trajectory and playing style, although differing stats) ended up plying his trade in the National League aged 38

So let’s wait and see, and if they are sold it really really will be a sad state of affairs, because it doesn’t make any sense in footballing or financial terms.

The more I see Rudonis pass to put KKH away for the 2nd, the better it gets. The deft slice to just put it over the defender rather than just knocking it down the wing for him to chase 👏👏👏

If you cash in on assets before a business is sold,, the value of the business goes down accordingly. Possibly, but this is football. The value of the players will probably be far less than their wage liabilities. Get them off the books a year before their contracts end and you might save £500k on each high earner. Keep them as an ‘asset’ and their book value is far less than that. I’d guess the smaller the squad/wage bill the more enticing we’d be, unless the players have potential to go for substantial sums.

The division the club is in has a bigger bearing.
