Hogg was awful, but actually got involved to be so bad.
But it is okay as our future captain ran the length of the pitch 23 times.
Amazing how we looked like we could win once High and Hogg went off. Hogg gets off a bit though as it was unlike him.

He just doesn't influence the game enough. The game always seems to pass him by.
I've seen far worse footballers at Town, but he has to do more on our engine room. One nice pass every 10 mins isn't enough. And today there were a few dodgy ones.

Being able to run further than your team mates isn't a good enough reason to get picked when the rest of your game is rubbish. |

Really, felt for the lad today. He is not Championship material yet and unless our clueless manager stops picking him he may ruin his confidence for good. How he thinks High is a better prospect than either Camara or Diarra is a real mystery. Or is it just incompetence. This is what happens when you go for the 'cheap option.' It appears cheap in the beginning but over time someone who is not good at a job then ruins the tools around them and in this case the career of a young footballer. Once again we go back to the summer and the decisions taken then ...

As much as Hogg had a mare, he is actually on the ball to have made mistakes. At a guess, Hogg and Kasumu will have had the ball twice as much as High. |

I was listening to that Ben Foster podcast this week and he was saying some players can be world beaters in training but when Saturday 3pm comes around they crumble under pressure. I am beginning to wonder if this is what Scott High is like. He was highly thought of coming up through the ranks, Carlos also liked him a fair bit & MF (granted he’s a clown) has chucked him straight in. Maybe he’s a great trainer but just can’t handle the matchday pressure.
Or maybe he’s just abit shit.

Those two are expected, a minimum - not a bonus or something that should be applauded.

He’s not a woeful player. He’s a young lad who hasn’t fully developed his game and should be being managed properly with loans and b team games and not thrown in as the supposed saviour of a shit relegation threatened team.

I was extremely disappointed when Highs name was on the team sheet as he is nowhere near championship standard. In saying that the worst player today was Hogg who rarely found a good pass to our players and did his usual turn and looked back when he received the ball. Both should have been off at half time and to be frank neither offer anything in driving the team forward. We looked a different side when Knockhart and Diarra came on and they plus Hungbo surely deserve a start on Tuesday. The best form of defence is attack which has to be true as we continue to make mistakes at the back.

I remember noticing him near the touchline after half an hour and realised I had forgot he was on the pitch. |

Hogg was absolutely terrible today and not for the first time this season. He also had a few nightmares last season. He just slows down our play so much

Go out on loan, fail, welcome straight back in to the match day squad.
At the same time there are lads who have done ok for us this season that now have to sit in the stands and watch these players perform far worse than they did

Criticise the manager for picking him - but lay off the kid, eh?
We've got form for damaging young players' confidence early on.
Maybe he'll never be good enough for Town at this level (for as long as that lasts...), but that's not his fault.
Besides which, didn't Town fans say this about Matt Crooks?
