What was going on yesterday
The handball not given
Forgetting to do the lines to check offside
Putting the line on the wrong defender to disallow a goal
That Aussie sending off a player for being the third one to run towards him
Are we really to believe these are just mistakes and not an attempt to create controversy and talking points for the PL money machine

As said on MOTD, the chap doing VAR for the Chelsea game is the head of VAR. If he's that clueless about the game then what chance is there of it being implemented successfully.
The sooner former footballers become involved in the VAR room to add some actual understanding the better.

Made me laugh watching the Newcastle game when Trippier cleared off the line and ref asked VAR to double check. I think it was Don Goodman said something along the lines of that being a waste of time as the goal line technology is fool proof.
No Don, it definitely isnt.

Saw that too and thought exactly the same thing. I actually did think the goal line tech had messed up for a second or two until I saw the incident again. |

Can think of the following games off the top of my head we’ve just thrown away
Blackpool home (1 point)
West Brom home (2 points)
Wigan home (1 point)
Hull away (2 points)
Blackpool away (2 points)
Luton home (1 point)
Wigan away (1 point)
10 points just written off from match winning or solid positions . I’m sure there are plenty more too

I’m sure there are plenty more too 3 points lost from Luton at home, we took the lead in that one. |

I’m sure there are plenty more too You're right of course, but at the same time every team in then league can cite games where points were thrown away, its not just prevalent to us. |

Mind you, since the Tevez/Mascherano affair a few yrs ago, the die has been cast for money becoming a substitute for fair play. |
